What are your favorites from among these popular and critically acclaimed shows? Choose up to 3. This is not a be-all end-all list, so if your favorite isn’t included just pick from among these.

GOT Deadwood Sopranos
Haven't seen most of the others. Dexter was very up and down, unfortunately mostly down. Ray Donovan at its best is dark, goofy fun. It's like if the Sopranos had been a Showtime show (i.e., a little more comedy and nudity, takes itself a lot less seriously). I like Westworld season one, then lost interest. I'm the one person on Earth who has never seen an episode of Mad Men or Breaking Bad.

The Sopranos Mad Men The Wire
I've always wanted to watch The Shield, always heard great things about it from various folks.

What a list. You literally named the greatest shows of all time here. I picked Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos.

The Sopranos Mad Men The Wire I've always wanted to watch The Shield, always heard great things about it from various folks. Tremendous show and in my top five of all time. Definitely worth checking out. Besides maybe Breaking Bad, it is the only show that gets better as it goes along. Seasons 5-7 are genius.

I haven’t seen all of these. Here are my top 3 from among these.
3. The Wire. I’m not a cop, but to me this show seemed the most realistic (other than maybe Omar who I loved anyway). Fantastically acted all around.
2. Breaking Bad. I’m due for another re-watch of this but I can’t remember a single bad episode. As close to a perfect show as there’s ever been.
1. Six Feet Under. I was unemployed and binge-watched this during a time in my life where I lost almost everything. It resonated with me. Michael C. Hall was as believable to me in this as he was in Dexter yet couldn’t have played more different characters. Also has the best ending out of any of these shows (of the ones I’ve seen).

Deadwood from those although I was stunned by the first two series of The Deuce and can't wait for the final one. Really recreated a time and place for people of a certain age.

What a list. You literally named the greatest shows of all time here. I picked Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos. 1) 'All time' only encompasses like 60-70 years 2) This list only covers shows since like 1989 3) It was probably not necessary to point this out and I'm probably a dick for doing so, but people acting like the only things that count are from when they started paying attention forward, and that those are the greatest ever rubs me the wrong way for some reason 4) I haven't seen all of these shows nor that many shows from the first several decades so I can't really make a judgement, so maybe this is accurate

Since I haven't seen most of these series, or at least not in their entirety, I'll have to choose The Simpsons.
The first 9 seasons are phenomenal. It got weaker after that and I stopped watching (maybe it got really good again at some point, but I'd doubt it), but that initial run is extraordinary and is so entrenched with my childhood and forming my sense of humor and accounts for so many of my points of reference for pop culture and society that it can't be anything else really.

If we’re doing comedies I’d go Seinfeld one, Simpsons 1-A. My original list isn’t necessarily supposed to be “best of all-time”. I just picked some popular recent or semi-recent ones.

I have to be that "that guy" for a second, but FUCK ENTOURAGE. Seriously, fuck that show. Callous and empty farce that, save for a few great moments from Jeremy Piven, was a weekly 30-minute middle finger to its target audience.
