Dont stone me to to death but I enjoyed Carrie and The Omen. And of course Suspiria which has the same batshit craziness of the original.

I thought The Hills Have Eyes (2006) was much better than the original, Dawn of the Dead (2004) is on par with the original, and The Fly (1986) is better than the original.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) is another one I like.

The Fly The Thing Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Maniac When you say "The Thing", Are you are talking about the 2011 Movie ?
If so then that is actually a Prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter Movie (It takes place 3 days before it).

I have seen and had arguments with others who consider the 2011 Prequel to really be just a Remake.

Why would anybody mention the 2011 movie in a thread like this, but not the 1982 movie? COME ON!!!

Alien (1979). It's basically a remake of a 1950s b movie.

If you’re talking about the 2013 movie it was fine. Suspiria was awesome. The original wasn’t even one of my favorite horror movies but the remake was just balls to the walls crazy and I loved it. I think fans just wanted a beat by beat remake.
