I toyed with the notion of setting this up as a "poll," just to see what you clever folks would come up with for "Other." Then, I decided that I didn't want to know. But, go ahead, if you want to. Today, I decided that I'm going to bid farewell, to mine. I haven't used it for anything substantive, in years. Among my favorite breakfast foods are potato/rice dishes, that are left over from dinner. I've used it for that, almost exclusively, for a couple of years. And, it takes up room that I can put to better use. Good bye, old friend.

I use it to reheat things and also to nuke Green Giant frozen veggies. I never actually "cooked" in a microwave. I mostly use my oven.

I use mine frequently. Multiple times per week.

I was never a fan of microwaved food, I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I've used mine. My wife uses it often, which is the only reason why I haven't chucked it.

I use it to reheat things and to cook quick oatmeal for breakfast sometimes.
I use the one at work for frozen lunches sometimes (not very often).

I use mine about everyday. Mainly for reheating and TV and frozen dinners.

Until there's a more convenient alternative for reheating, yes.

Not much. I use the baked potato program set to 10 ounces for a 15 ounce potato. Then I slice it, put oil and garlic and onion powder on, and fry or broil the slices.
I may use the reheat setting for meat or casserole or stew or rice.
I use it for 6 seconds to soften 3 pieces of licorice or some ice cream.
I use the timer, surface light, and vent fan.

divtal: Mine has a digital clock readout on it, which I look at all the time. So, yes, I actually *do* use my microwave all the time. LOL

My oven, microwave, and coffee makers all have digital clocks. After a power outage, the oven clock continues from where it left off, but the coffee maker starts from 12:00. I can calculate the time the power outage occurred and how long it lasted. Example: Time now - 7:40 am. Oven flashes 7:25. Power was off 15 minutes. Coffee maker clock says 3:10. Thus the power has been back on since 7:40 - 3:10 = 4:30. So the power was off from 4:15 am to 4:30 am. The microwave clock just tells me the time needs to be set.

Plus, I guess that's 3 more clocks you need to re-set every time Daylight Savings rolls around.

Actually, the greatest use that my microwave has been, to me recently, is to tell me that there has been a power outage.
