Question: is there a position in any professional teams sport that has bigger WAFFLEs than NFL wide receivers? *edit * interesting, so the word c.nt is censored now? lol waffles! There’s gotta be some vajayjay soccer players out there that make Brown seem like Ca Ripken. Otherwise in the big 4 probably stud running backs, cornerbacks, and NHL goalies like Patrick Roy come the closest. Still, WRs have them beat by a mile. Edit - and the entire NBA is pretty diva-ish.

He took to Twitter and took it public which he never should have done. If we all blasted our employer on Social Media - the repercussions could be greater - i.e. 'you're fired'. He should have just kept it behind closed doors instead of being a drama queen. He should have just not been a giant dickhead. If you paid me millions of dollars, I could rather easily not be a giant dickhead. I'd even wear a new helmet and show up at practice!! Nobody says I don't earn my keep... 'Dickhead' is an underutilized insult. Primed for a comeback.

On one hand I’m so happy he’s not Pittsburgh’s problem anymore. He is locker room cancer.
On the other hand I kinda feel bad for the Raiders fans. At least us in Pittsburgh got to see him make some great plays on the field before he went nuts. AB has rocked the boat more times than I can count and hasn’t seen the field in a real game yet.

Last I heard (a few mins ago) he was not yet, officially, supended. But he will be.
I think there's some sort of forfeit of the otherwise guaranteed money depending on when and for what reason they suspend him, so maybe that's why they are waiting to hammer out these details.
Everybody sort of knew he was gonna be an issue, but this shit is downright bizarre. Like, maybe he's got some mental health issues, bizarre. It feels like it's going beyond just being a typical diva receiver.

At least I've got Zeke back for week 1. Misery loves company. AB was my second round pick. I knew this kind of shit would happen eventually but I figured not until around November/December and I’d at least get a few months of production out of him. He’s a fucking headcase. Ochocinco and TO combined into one megadiva.

Not a peep about the new teammate with whom a controversial play occurred in a playoff game from three seasons earlier.
Also, my first opponent in my fantasy league had AB as a starter. I'm breathing a little easier at the moment.

If there is one person who has sold his soul to the devil, it's Drew Rosenhous. I'm sure those millions are worth it - - but he looks like a complete dipshit trying to spin the situation. What a douche.

I'd hate to deal with Boras, but off the top of my head, I can't remember him trying to defend despicable players.

...and now it seems as though he won't even be suspended, and will suit up on Monday night.

...and now it seems as though he won't even be suspended, and will suit up on Monday night. If the Raiders allow that to happen, then everything is on them. The only way they can control his money is if they suspend him this first game. If he's on the roster for the first game, then if they cut him, he gets large amounts of that contract. Brown is playing them - - but they are probably too stupid to see it.

It's the only sane way to move forward for the betterment of the team.

The problem is that, in spite of the conduct detrimental concept, nobody knows for sure what his contract actually says other than the Raiders brass and Brown's team. It's not public info, so when the talking heads go on about releasing him and keeping the money, they are just guessing based on what the norm is for these contracts. But the norm is not a universal truth and anybody declaring, unequivocally, that if they suspend him they'll be able to keep that money is pontificating under the guise of certainty. Conduct detrimental can be defined any number of ways, from broad definitions to narrow definitions. When you're a player of Brown's caliber, you are in a unique position to get those types of provisions favorably worded. I'm not saying they can't do it, but anyone saying they can for sure is offering misleading information. Moreover, even if it were true and the Raiders could do that, Brown would certainly appeal and the Raiders face actions from the NFLPA. That's a huge distraction that could last months. Brown's teammates could potentially even rally to Brown's cause, even with his bullshit, which creates more problems in the locker room. Or worse, they cut him, he signs elsewhere and turns in an All-Pro caliber season and really makes them look stupid. Just imagine, if you will, that they cut him and he signs with the Chiefs and torches the Raiders twice this season. No doubt in my mind that something like that is a factor in their decision. The whole situation is a shit show but one thing you and Tristan are right about is not at least suspending him now. If they let him play in Week 1, the entire foundation upon which a release for conduct detrimental could be based would be drastically jeopardized.

I was wrong. AB isn't the trainwreck, it's the entire organization. Giving Gruden 34 trillion a year. trading Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper, the move to Vegas, a bundle of bad draft picks. In 2016, the Raiders were 12-4 and could have made a SB run if Derek Carr hadn't got hurt. I thought they were the team to dethrone to Patriots in the AFC. Now they are a joke. What happened to "Commitment to Excellence" and "Pride and Poise"?
