Didn't realize Leaf d-man Barrie who scored 59 points for Colorado last year, a big chunk of which were on the PP, didn't play on the first unit! A PP that's been mediocre didn't use an asset like Barrie? Of course he scores his first goal as a Leaf tonight, although not on the PP. A nice FU to Babcock. Toronto wins 3-1 but loses shutout in last 20 seconds.

Florida comes from 4 goals down to beat Anaheim in OT. Second time in 10 days they've come from 4 goals down to win. Only the second team in NHL history to pull off the feat, the other being the 1983-84 Oilers.

A PP that's been mediocre didn't use an asset like Barrie? Of course he scores his first goal as a Leaf tonight, although not on the PP. A nice FU to Babcock. Babcock used 4 forwards with Rielly on the first pp unit. Keefe's possession strategy was day & night. Instead of Babcock's race up the ice as soon as you get the puck, last night they would take a sec & make sure everyone was ready to attack together. Keefe's defensive strategy is more man coverage - guys lower to the goal line, in a swarming manner around puck handler - to get it back before they can get scoring chances. There is some risk/reward to that defense, & yet if the team can command puck possession, with greater patience than Babcock, they could potentially hit some dangerous win streaks. Engvall's shorty was no surprise to Keefe, he was his PK specialist with the Marlies. Babcock benched him for special teams. The time was right.

Bruins put the beatdown on the Canadiens in Montreal, the final score being 8-1
Yikes, Habs fans.
Not sure how they say it in French, but here in America we call that hilarious. 😂😂😂

How's that Babcock firing working out? Leafs on their way (barring a crazy collapse) to their third straight win. Leading Detroit 6-0 in the third and outshooting them 47-21. Barrie scores in all 3 after going goalless under Babs.

Sabres home & home next for the Buds... I'd like to see a backup goalie behind this bunch now, get things really sorted out.

Let us now discuss the best team in hockey, the Boston Bruins.
After 25 games, the Bruins are 17-3-5. They have the best goal differential by far in the NHL. Only one team has scored more goals, only one team has given up fewer goals than Boston. They also have yet to lose in regulation at home.
Obviously, the Perfection Line of Marchand, Bergeron, and Pastrnak are doing their typical thing, but there's much more to the offense (who wouldn't want Sean Kuraly on their 4th line?). The defense is also stacked deep, and both goalies are fantastic.
Of course, this could all as the year goes on and potential injuries pop up. And I've seen great Bruins teams fizzle in the playoffs, but right now this team seems primed to get back to the Finals and finish the deal this time.

Bruins running away with the Atlantic. Good, let them suffer with meaningless games for 3 months.

We lit the lamp 5 times in the 3rd boys on the way to a 6-1 victory over the Maple Turds.
That's 16-7-5 on the year for the Orange Crush fellas.
Ghosty with a goal and an assist on the night.
Side note -
Raffy broke his finger - out 4 weeks.
