Yeah, I haven't tried leaving wine 😉 I remember my old man always had whites chilled straight from the fridge... Reds he decanted and let 'breathe' at room temperature before drinking. Wise man. I never let my reds breathe. Just drink straight away. I'm wrong to do that though. I usually only drink half a bottle a day though and I do sometimes notice the wine tastes differently on day 2. It hasn't been breathing though ... just in the bottle with the cork on.

If one doesn't have time to decant, these Vinturi aerators work pretty quickly. I'm sure, like anything, there are those who say these don't work, but I think they do:

Going fusion for lunch today... A 2018 fairtrade Bonarda-Malbec from a co-operative in the Andes. 'A wine of impressive depth and complexity'. Let me know what you make of this. I'm suspicious of the volume of Malbecs on the market

All this talk of Malbec, I fixed Tuna Steaks for Valentine's Day and we had a 2018 Alamos Malbec, a nice long smooth finish. Last bottle on the shelf, I'll be asking to make sure they keep it stocked.

I'm gonna have to visit the posh supermarkets lads 😲
Waitrose sell 542 vegan friendly wines.
All Marks and Sparks home label wines are vegan, and they are working towards making every single wine they sell vegan.
If it helps anyone else... Co-op, Morrisons, and Aldi are good for labelling.
Lidl are shite.
Not explored Sainsbury's, Asda, or Tesco yet, so don't know.
Any proper wine shop or restaurant worth their salt should be able to tell you which of their stock are vegan friendly.

Just opened a 2019 South Africa Cabernet Sauvignon.
Not a fan, too 'acidic' if that's a wine term? That'll be getting put aside for cooking and the Catalan treatment.

I have one bottle of white each Friday.
Black Tower from Tesco at £5.
5.5% Medium/medium sweet, refreshing and ideal when Friday's shopping has been stored away. I ought to buy it by the case but if I did, consumption would be more than one bottle per week.
