American broadcaster, interviewer, host and reporter David Sheehan has left us at the age of 82, on December 2nd. He is remembered by Hollywood ReporterIn 1979, he hosted and produced the first Pay-TV monthly series in history, Backstage in Hollywood on HBO, which originally premiered on CBS television in the mid-70's. In the early-1980s, he produced and camera-directed Pippin (with Bob Fosse) starring Ben Vereen and Martha Raye-the first Broadway musical filmed by cameras during live stage performance, for Pay-TV, cable TV and home video. Australian screenwriter Cliff Green has left us at the age of 85, on December 4th. Perhaps internationally best known work is Picnic at Hanging Rock 1975. British actress Dame Barbara Windsor has left us at the age of 83, on December 10th. For many best known for her appearances in the Carry On films and for playing Peggy Mitchell in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders 1994 - 2016. She made her film debut as a schoolgirl in The Belles of St Trinian's 1954 while studying Shipping Management at Bow Technical College. She received a BAFTA Award nomination for the film Sparrows Can't Sing 1963, and a Tony Award nomination for the 1964 Broadway production of Oh, What A Lovely War!. She appeared in nine Carry On films, including Carry On Spying 1964, Carry On Doctor 1967, Carry On Camping 1969, Carry On Henry 1971 and Carry On Abroad 1972. Her other film roles included A Study in Terror 1965, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 1968, and as the voice of Mallymkun, The Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland 2010 and Alice Through the Looking Glass 2016. American character actor and occasional professional wrestler Tommy 'Tiny' Lister has left us at the age of 62, on December 10th. Perhaps best known for his roles as the neighborhood bully Deebo in the 1995 film Friday and its 2000 sequel and as President Lindberg in The Fifth Element 1997. He acted in over 200 movies and television productions since 1984, usually in minor roles, plus with a few in post-production status and some still being in filming status. South Korean director Ki-duk Kim has left us at the age of 59, on December 11th. (complications from COVID-19) His major festival awards include Golden Lion at 69th Venice International Film Festival for Pietà, Silver Lion for Best Director at 61st Venice International Film Festival for 3-Iron, Silver bear for Best Director at 54th Berlin International Film Festival for Samaritan Girl, and Un Certain Regard prize at 2011 Cannes Film Festival for Arirang. American actress, dancer, and choreographer Ann Reinking has left us at the age of 71, on December 12th. Her extensive work in musical theater included starring in Broadway productions of Coco 1969, Over Here! 1974, Goodtime Charley 1975, Chicago 1977, Dancin' 1978 and Sweet Charity 1986. In the 1996 revival of Chicago, she reprised the role of Roxie Hart and was also the choreographer, winning the Tony Award for Best Choreography. For the 2000 West End production of Fosse, she won the Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer. She also appeared in the films All That Jazz 1979, Annie 1982, and Micki & Maude 1984. British set decorator, art director, and production designer Peter Lamont has left us at the age of 91, on December 18th. Noted for working on eighteen James Bond films, from Goldfinger 1964 to Casino Royale 2006, except Tomorrow Never Dies 1997. Throughout his near 60-year career, he was nominated for three Academy Awards for his work on Fiddler on the Roof 1971, The Spy Who Loved Me 1977, and Aliens 1986. He was nominated a fourth time and won for Titanic 1997. His memoir, "The Man With the Golden Eye: Designing the James Bond Films", was published in 2016. He is remembered by VarietyR.I.P.
