Collingwood- was about 7 watching the opening game of the 1989 season. My dad was telling me how unstoppable Hawthorn were. Their opponents were Collingwood. My dad built up the Hawthorn empire so well that when Collingwood came from 33 points down to beat them, I was hooked.
St George- can't remember the exact moment but I remember being a fan from the earliest I can remember watching a game of league. They had a pretty ingenious strategy for getting kids hooked: they were sponsored by St George bank who's mascot was Happy Dragon.
White Sox- saw 8 Men Out when I was 8.
Cowboys- the only team anyone cared about in Oz when the game caught on. You could see Emmitt Smith jerseys everywhere for much of the 90s.
Blackhawks- saw my first game somewhere around 1995. Had a cousin born in Seattle who moved to Chicago (now lives in Texas). Can't even remember who they played, but they won.
Rockets- Hakeem. Nuff said.
Aberdeen- town where I was born.
Barnsley- the lowest rated playable PL team in one of the Nintendo 64 soccer games. Learning their history (first team to get fucked up the Arse[nal] right back at the turn of the 20th century) only got me more interested.
And pretty much any team who wears black and vertical stripes because-Collingwood.

That's too bad, because as a Yankees "fan," you completely missed out on one of the greatest dynasties in not just Yankees history, but sports history in general. So I guess you're a bandwagon Yankees fan, huh??? Alright, so you're clearly fucking retarded and illiterate. And if that sounds redundant, it isn't, I've seen retarded people who are literate to varying degrees. But that's good to know. You know, sometimes it takes a while for someone to show their true colors. You can't quite figure out what their deal is. But not. You come out swinging right out of the gate and let everyone know you're a fucking moron. You dropped some hints in that stupid fucking Gary Sheffield thread. I mean, what the fuck was that even? You ask where he ranks among your favorite Yankees and then the poll question is the deep and thought provoking "Do you like him?" Seriously? Oh, actually, it said "Do you like him as a BASEBALL PLAYER?" Uhh, as opposed to what, a fucking haberdasher? And how weird and random is that? Where does he rank among peoples favorite Yankees? Fucking nowhere. Of all the titles and all the greats and fan favorites that have played for this storied franchise, from Gehrig to Judge and everyone in between, you really think there's folks out there with Gary Sheffield and his two title-less seasons in their top 5 list of Yankee greats? But I played along and participated and gave an honest answer, despite the obvious stupidity. Why? Because I'm a swell guy. Hell, if the thread is harmless and doesn't seem malicious, I give everyone a chance, even if they come of a bit on the simpleton side. No need to start unecessary fights after all, be friendly to the new folks, amirite? I'm a standup guy, after all And how do i get rewarded for my kindness? This fucking dumb assery. Let me try to take you through this like you're a child( My apologies to any children reading this for the comparison) I didn't miss out on shit, fuck stick. As I said, I'm a Yankee fan. I said it twice. I was in the stands for a handful of those playoff games rooting for the Yankees, including two memorable ones against the Mariners( and the Doc Gooden No Hitter against the M's too) At no point did I say i wasn't a Yankee fan or that I was a Mariners fan. At no point did I slightly even allude to it( Dumb Fuck Assistance: Allude means "hint at" or "suggest") I was simply sharing a little anecdote about the fact that as a child i really liked Ken Griffey, and as a result I liked the Mariners. Nowhere did I say i was a M's fan or not a Yankee fan. This is what people do. They have their favorite team, that they root for always, through good times and bad. But over the course of a fans lifetime, every fans, they will come across a player or players or team or teams that they enjoy watching for whatever reason and like to see them succeed. This doesn't make them a fan of that team or not a fan of their actual team, you stupid, simple, extra chromosome having mother fucker you! And think( I know that's tough for you) about what you said. Evidently your pea sized brain made you arrive at the conclusion that I WASN'T a fan of the Yankees during their dynasty, and then was afterwards. Yet you called me a bandwagon fan. How the fuck does that even make sense? So I don't like them when they're winning and then do like them when they're not winning...and I'm a bandwagon fan!? What the actual fuck? That's not how that works. You could have just spent a few seconds thinking that over and realized it makes no sense. Or maybe not, maybe I'm giving you too much credit. Maybe you did read it back, think it over, and thought to yourself "Nailed it! Totally PWND that guy, bruh!" Jesus, I can't ever imagine being that dumb. You made that costly mistake Sean Penn made in I Am Sam. NEVER go FULL retard. But listen, despite everything, I'm rooting for ya. I am. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't lead a normal life and that there's no place for you in this world. There is. We'll set you up with a helmet, some pads, a pair of headphones and off you go. Enjoy Life! And I haven't seen it yet, but i promise...we'll find your baseball, Warren! I knew you wouldn't disappoint. Can't wait to see the witty comeback. Somewhere between "Sez you" and "your mother wears army boots."

LOL. It's funny cause after I posted that I saw your post and actually thought to myself "Damn, I hope I didn't disappoint" Good to know I still have it And you're probably right. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a veiled "I know you are, but what am I" Hell, that was basically his response to KL earlier.

I thought the character arcs of Walt and Jesse were tremendous. Here you have a squeeky clean dorky old guy who turns evil Then you have a lazy slacker stoner who's not a great kid - lazy, ignorant a drug dealer - and then we see him grow into a man with a heart/sense of compassion who just wants to do the right thing in life. It's one of the better shows I've seen over the years - but I don't watch much TV other than sports.

That doesn't even make any sense. Are you fucking retarded? No, but you sure are for rooting for and sticking with the Mets. So...you’re implying that I should stop rooting for them and root for another team, but you idiotically tried (and failed) to make fun of Beardy for being the bandwagon fan. Thanks for confirming our suspicions, ace. You may need a little practice before trying this approach.

St Louis Cardinals- I was a big fan of the redbird, as well as their uniforms, plus I loved Mcgwire as a kid.... my dad was dismayed as he was a Cubs guy, i almost rooted for the Dodgers but Cards won out to no avail
Los Angeles Rams- Fun to watch, loved rooting for them over my classmates picks, technically a hometown team as they were from LA, and I loved Warner, Faulk, and Holt as well.
Detroit Redwings- my parents tried to get me to root for the AVS, but something about the redwings sealed the deal for me. Also my moms family actually is from Michigan.
Los Angeles Lakers- my dads team plus i was born in LA.

Cleveland Indians - I was born a fan of theirs. Dad was always a huge Tribe fan, and the whole family would watch them play summer nights in the late 90s/early 00s. Was a massive fan of Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez, and when they left, I became a fan of C.C.
Ohio State - same deal with the Indians: born an OSU fan.
Pittsburgh Steelers - didn't really give a shit about the NFL before 2008. Started following the Steelers because some of my friends were fans, and because they had just won the Super Bowl. Does help I grew up about 3 hours away.
Cleveland Cavaliers - actually became a somewhat of a fan in the 2009-2010 season when Shaq signed with them (my allegiance followed Shaq, dude's my all time favorite NBA player). It wasn't until the 2012-2013 season when I became a die hard fan. Went up to the Q on a school trip and watched them play the Celtics and watched Kyrie put on a show and the Cavs won and they've been my team since then.
Cleveland Browns - became a fan of theirs in the 2014 season. Just felt bad about how much everyone was shitting on them, and was rooting for them because I have this fantasy of seeing all three Cleveland teams being championship contenders at the same time. Cleveland's never had that, and it'd be cool to see it at least once in my lifetime.

Washington Nationals - been a huge fan for months now. I can name almost any player on the roster.
Toronto Raptors - Raps till I die; can't remember a time when I wasn't a fan of this tremendous winning franchise.
St. Louis Blues - again, just a huge fan. I love hockey.
New England Patriots - been rooting for them for almost 20 years now, I don't know, there was just something about them I liked. Really enjoyed their Super Bowl wins. Huge fan, rain or shine. Though, my interest in them started to wane in the past few months. Now I have my eye on those San Francisco 49ers. There's just something about them I like...
It's been a great year for me with my sports teams, I'm so lucky. Hardcore fans like me get rewarded for our loyalty.

I’ve lived in Pittsburgh my whole life so professional sports are such a part of the culture here it was inevitable...but...
Pittsburgh Steelers...Around 12 or so, just after the last PGH Dallas Super Bowl, I started getting into watching the games...not long after I got into a fantasy football league (yes, they existed before the internet was a big thing) and my love for the NFL kinda grew over the years with my fandom of the Steelers being at the forefront, but it’s still the one league where I don’t struggle to stay interested in other teams games.
Pittsburgh Penguins...I was actually a Pens fan first. It wasn’t hard with people like Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr playing when I was growing up...but then I kinda fell out of hockey in the late 90s when my football adoration sprouted. It took rules changes in the mid 2000s and a young Sidney Crosby to reignite that spark.
Pittsburgh Pirates...I am unapologetically a fair weather Pirates fan. I’m not a big fan of baseball as a sport so it takes this team winning to get me interested. Unfortunately that’s only happened like 3 times in the last 20 years so...not much support here from me.
Stone Cold Steve Austin...not tapping out to Bret Hart. It was a badass move.

St. Louis Cardinals - I was a big Mark McGwire fan growing up, which made me an A's fan originally, but when McGwire was traded to the Cards I started following them, and have been a fan ever since.
Buffalo Bills - The first Super Bowl I watched was the Bills/Giants super bowl. I didn't have a team, so I rooted for the Bills and they became my team.
San Antonio Spurs - I got into basketball right around the time that the David Robinson "Mr. Robinson" commercials were airing. He became my favorite player, which made me root for the Spurs.

This comes up every once in a while so I’ll give the short answer. Wests Tigers - absolutely no idea. I was a 4 year old kid, and I just started liking them. Manchester United - liked the kit. Red shirts, White Shorts, Black socks. Again, I was a kid. LA Chargers - thought the logo was cool. I was 12. Also liked the Vikings, but couldn’t support a side that wears Purple. Buffalo Sabres - liked the name.
