The hand sanitizer has been sold out for at least 3 days now. I wonder if that's because more people are buying it. Or one person is buying a bunch.
I know it's not in the store's best interest, but there should be a limit per person.

They say all you really need is "rubbing alcohol". That and a hand lotion (like "Lubriderm") is all you really need. (Alcohol is the ingredient in hand sanitizer that kills the germs.)

Cancelled for what. Japan has around 300 cases.
Dunno. Likely because of Japan's proximity to China? They did do a double-back on it - saying they may be postponed, though.
Meanwhile, in our bi-weekly work meeting yesterday, it was said that there was a confirmed case of the virus in Kitchener.
Uh-oh.

Last I checked, it hadn't reached Louisiana yet. But I drive for Uber. I pick up lots of tourists, from all over the world.
I carry Lysol and hand lotion in my vehicle.
I never realized how hard it was to not touch my face until I consciously tried not to.

That wouldn't be good for my driver rating.

I just looked at eBay and there are a couple of shit bags selling Purell at scalper prices. Why am I not surprised?
One guy is asking $300 for 3 12oz bottles.

I just left Wegmans, a supermarket the size of a medium sized town. They are sold out of literally every brand and variety of toilet paper. Not a single square to spare. It is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

It is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. No shortage of bog roll in these parts. I'll post it... £10 a roll, plus postage and packing. £15 for luxury quilted.

Just the right balance of strength and friction.

I have been out of the country the whole week (no, not in the far east or in Italy). I haven't been following the news back home. Tomorrow I will see what's the toilet paper/bottled water/hand sanitizer situation in Montreal.
In principle my routine won't change. I work in a small office and I rarely take public transportation, so I am not often in the presence of crowds.

We went to BJs last night and there as was much toilet paper available as we could have possibly wanted.

All the French toast ingredients were there, but people must think they’ll be quarantined and unable to get TP.

We're at 3 cases now and talking with coworkers it seems that indeed some people coming from infected areas weren't tested properly or not at all.
Thinking about how the CHUM handled the seasonal flu while I was there, for something else, 2 weeks ago with the security guy only asking people to wash their hands with Purell and wear a mask but not giving a shit about them removing their mask to cough right in their hand and get up to touch the whole place... I'd say it's not looking good.
Like I said in my previous post, I think the virus will come out of the Dorval airport like:

Deaths are rising in Italy. 50 in one day yesterday. Coronavirus also now causing meningitis cases.
Head of WHO says the situation is now deeply concerning, and all countries must make containment of the disease it's priority.
Italy have quarantined the whole Lombardy and Venice regions until April (16 million people)... Nobody enters or leaves (3 months prison for offenders), no public gatherings, all events cancelled, people told to stay at home as much as possible. Cafes, bars, etc have limited opening hours but customers must sit at least a metre apart. The head of the Italian football players association is calling for remaining games of the season to be cancelled.
I do hope they have enough bog roll 🤷♀️

Australian Newspaper Prints Blank Pages Amid Toilet Paper EmergencyAn Australian newspaper has recently printed extra pages to be used as toilet paper after coronavirus fears triggered panic among customers prompting them to bulk buy supplies, leaving some supermarket shelves bare. The paper NT News's front page also post a message which reads, "We've printed an eight-page special lift-out inside, complete with handy cut lines, for you to use in an emergency."

Don’t laugh - I’m almost out of toilet paper. Haven’t been able to buy any for about a week. Literally nowhere near me has any, nor paper towel, nor baby wipes, nothing.
The REALLY sad/scary/strange thing - cheap kitchen cloths are also selling out around my area. I’m thinking some desperate people are wiping, washing and re-using.
🤢🤢🤢
