Been bingeing Babylon Berlin s3.
Only one episode to go. It’s great.
Will then watch the latest episode of Picard.
I have quite a few old British films recorded from Talking Pictures channel to get through too. Part way through Up the Chastity Belt with Frankie Howard. Pretty lame!

I watched some episodes of a docu/drama thingy about the Roman Empire. It was narrated by Sean Bean and the three episodes I watched focused on the time of Commodus. Typical of what we are led to believe were the egos of these guys, Commodus in order to get total and complete love and loyalty from the Roman populace (and the Senate trained to become a gladiator to be seen as a hero. He was trained by Narcissus (no not Mr Wonderful, another one), who was the No.1 man in this grisly occupation and he (Commodus) fought every afternoon of the games, winning all his contests, albeit having had the swords of his opponents blunted beforehand. Like many before and after he was assassinated by guess who?. Narcissus. Ancient Rome is an interesting part of history but this production was so slow and the acting by "Commodus" so inept that I was dissuaded from watching more with Nero, Caligula, etc....for the time being.

Earlier I watched a YouTube video about how Jordan nearly had a career-ending injury early in his first comeback, and the possible ripple effects.
David Robinson back to back MVPs.
Karl Malone 3 straight MVPs, two Championships and Finals MVPs.
Bulls draft Kobe.

I'm watching the Lockup marathon on Natgeo
Any fans?
It's tremendous - they used to air this on MSNBC all the time
Only movie this weekend: annihilation But I did my tax declaration and put up my new PC. Both things I dreaded for weeks.

Loved TOS though.

At last. Just finished watching the end of "The Man in the High Castle" If you thought the final season of GoT was poor, this is even worse. The longer the show went on, so the quality of the seasons deteriorated. And the Finale!!!! Brings back memories of LOST. I kept watching it because of "Mr Kido" and the owner of the "object d'arte" shop, Robert Childain. The rest of the cast got worse and worse and Rufus Sewell seemed to spend that last season auditioning for a part in a zombie movie. So many of the "GREAT SERIES" fuck it up with a crappy ending.

Watched Doctor Sleep last night. Having not read the book, I enjoyed it enough, although I thought it dragged its feet at times.
Watched Terminator: Dark Fate today. Don’t know why people still expect much out of this franchise; as long as it’s a dumb action movie that can pass two hours, I’m OK with it.

More than I thought I would going in. I totally could see how someone would say it was a little slow at times, but I thought it was trying to approximate the pace and tone of the Kubrick film slightly. It felt right to me. I never read the book either. Terminator: Dark Fate is an interesting point of comparison. Both heavily reference and even show you replications of their original films that they're supposed to be continuing, but one really gets it right and finds a way to be in the same vein is its predecessor, while the other is just a typical modern action movie. It's well made enough but it's silly and dumb and isn't worthy follow up. It's ok but the best thing I could really say about it is that it's better than the other non-Cameron Terminators.

Watched Contagion last night. Not an original choice, I know, but the people in my place had never seen it and I wanted to ruin their lives.

Westworld season 3 episode 1 became available for streaming last night.
Not sure if I'll bother with it. Season 2 was starting to get on my tits at the end.
It's on Sky Atlantic and Now TV here in the UK.
One episode released each week.
Maybe if we all go into lockdown they'll be kind and release all remaining episodes at once to stop the plebs from getting bored and going outside!

I'm going to watch Bojack Horseman. I saw a few random episodes from season 1 and it was amusing enough, but the reviews for subsequent seasons were excellent and friends of mine who watched it say it became surprisingly poignant and dark. Episodes are only 25ish minutes so it's perfect so sail through over the course of a few weeks.
