What are some statements and phrases we've learned over the past six months that would not have made sense in 2019? For example...
"We had a zoom wedding."
"The bank wouldn't let me in because I wasn't wearing a mask."

Cigarettes are banned in South Africa until the pandemic is over.
Bottle stores are only open from 9am to 5pm, and are open only on Monday to Thursday.
In South Africa, hair salons are open, and domestics can go back to work in peoples' homes, but one's family and friends are not allowed to visit.

"Defund the Cops" would have been considered as lunacy in 2019. It still is around the world except for Commie lunatics in the U.S.A.

In WWII the USA, the UK, and their allies fought a racist ideology one of whose actions was to attack all peoples, and burn in public bonfires all books, they considered to be against said ideology.
In 2019 I never would have thought it possible that similar actions could be repeated in the USA and the UK. Now in 2020 I can. Burning of statues and defaming American, British and other established cultures and their heroes and notables is simply the start. Will burning down of libraries be next?
The irony is that most of those doing the looting and burning wouldn't or couldn't even read a book. They've simply been brainwashed by lefty TV and radio media. Those who can read have had the added luxury of being brainwashed by a lefty education system and press. The UK education system, media, and press have long been systematically infiltrated by EU socialists. Hopefully Brexit will stop that.
The financers of the so-called protesters and anarchists are out to line their own pockets by keeping wages low and profit margins high by hiring low paid immigrant workers, many of whom are in the countries illegallly. They couldn't care less about the tax-paying citizens, or the damages their finances are causing. Power is the ultimate goal.
I'll not go into politics any deeper except to say that socialism as an ideology has never worked for or benefitted the common man, and to ask this simple and somewhat rhetorical question... which party spawned the KKK, and still supports, indeed venerates, its leaders?

That's the first phrase that I thought of -- 'social distancing'. Would have made NO sense in 2019.
I do like your alternate wording of the phrase, though.
