You could always try giving a straight answer. So, why would socialised health care you cant opt out of paying for be "fascism", and socialised education you cant opt out of paying for, not be? The answer 'because one is already done in the US, and one isnt' doesnt really answer the point being made. Because I agree to paying for the schools, but I do not agree to paying for the filthy evil socialized health care that takes away the choices over one's own body, young master. Hope that helps. What choices over one's own body does it take away?

As expected, you are too stupid to articulate any kind of point.

As much as Erjen complains about propaganda, he's the most gullible twit in history and so susceptible to propaganda that it would be laughable if it weren't so sad. He, being an imbecile, is the target audience of the Republican party in their smear campaign against socialized medicine and he was duped and can never man up and admit it. His childish gullibility leads him to believe in all those weird conspiracies, many of which originate from the same right-wing lunacy as anti-universal healthcare. This isn't to say the left (that's the American left) doesn't target gullible morons with their own propaganda (Guns are bad, mm'kay) but the right does it more often and, frankly, their propaganda is aimed at an even more simple-minded segment of the population. Erjen is, quite literally, Steve Bannon's idea of a "true American".

Make it available to those who want it, and don't force it on those who don't want it. Do you find anything objectionable with that idea?

In the UK we have this thing called taxation, I'm pretty sure you guys have it too. Part of our taxes go to funding a universal healthcare system, or the National Health Service, as we call it. If people opted out of the taxation that goes towards the NHS all the selfish people, such as yourself, would pull out, and hey presto the whole thing falls down, so your idea is unworkable, in our model. Our NHS is going through a rough time at present but it is still there, working. I, myself used it today to see the consultant a few weeks after my hand operation. Never felt a thing, in my hand or my pocket. In fact, where I live, prescriptions are free also.

They are paid for. I pay for them. I just don't use them.

So if it is a tax (which incidentally is far cheaper than your premiums, certainly pre Obamacare) opting out is not an option. And babies born with heart disease are covered.

No, it didn't slip by me. So, if I don't want to be signed up for government health care, you're okay with that, right?

Do you think that people who don't want to be signed up for socialized health care should be allowed to opt out?
Your question to me. I gave you my answer based on my experience in my country.

Your question to me. I gave you my answer based on my experience in my country. Snapshot of a low-info rural US voter: more than willing to pay through the roof for the simplest procedures via a propped-up mutual-profit game being played by pharmaceutical companies and insurance providers, shies away in horror at the notion of taking a pittance from our infrastructure budget and ensuring everyone's health because it would be dimes off his paycheck. This type of shit has pharma CEOs cackling. Bonus: in our system (an insurance system geared towards corporate wealth) guess who bears the burnt when an uninsured individual hits the emergency room?

They are paid for. I pay for them. I just don't use them. Let's talk about what who pays for what. I guarantee you I pay more tax than you earn. I also pay for my police and fire service through my council tax(equivalent to your property tax) My council tax bill for the year was 1,900 pounds.Just over 200 pounds($260) of that is spent on my local police force. Now why shouldn't I be able to opt out of my local police force and pool together with my fellow residents to hire a security service that priorities me and doesn't respond to those who contribute little or nothing to the police upkeep. The police would soon become a poorly funded second rate service,so when poor people like you needed it then you may not be able to rely on it,while me thanks to my ability to pay would be able to obtain a better Service. The police are a socialized service Erjen among the first ever created. People like me in Alabama subsidise your police and fire service coverage Erjen that's a fact. Now ask yourself this why should someone like me contribute to keep poor people like you safe? And yet the police and fire service are free at the point of access and their services are based on the need of the recipient not their ability to pay, these incidentally are the core founding principals of the British National Health Service.
