That is not a very impressive rebuttal vits. I'm probably right on. What rebuttal? You asked a "Yes" or "No" question. I'm talking about the whole thread. If you don't agree with anything I've said, rebut what I've said. Don't attack me.

I'm talking about the whole thread. Oh, the other movies he has worked in? You said you watched them, so I don't have a problem with that.

No. I said, "I'm no expert on Jason Bateman. But whenever I see him in anything, he's always playing a doormat, a cuckold, a fool, etc." So?

No. I said, "I'm no expert on Jason Bateman. But whenever I see him in anything, he's always playing a doormat, a cuckold, a fool, etc." So? So, those are my qualifiers, "I'm no expert on Jason Bateman." And, "whenever I see him in anything . . . " As opposed to, "I'm an expert on Jason Bateman." And, "I've seen everything he's ever done." An effective rebuttal would be, "I can understand how one might think that. But he doesn't play a doormat, a cuckold or a fool in these movies and TV shows" --- and then list those shows. As opposed to, "Well, you haven't seen everything he's done. So you really don't know what you are talking about. "

And, "I've seen everything he's ever done." But you tried to say what his character is like in a movie without watching it first, which is similar enough. An effective rebuttal would be, "I can understand how one might think that. But he doesn't play a doormat, a cuckold or a fool in these movies and TV shows" --- and then list those shows. Someone else already did that, and you didn't believe them.

And based on the description and reviews, it sounds like he PROBABLY once again plays the doormat, the cuckold, the fool. 2) Where did I say I didn't believe that?

Is English your first language vits? Hardy har har. You didn't say "probably" in that comment. In fact, instead of saying "It doesn't seem that way" or whatever, you gave an abrupt "no".

Here's the exact quote; I've never seen "Hancock". But from what I can surmise --- no. Jason Bateman PROBABLY once again plays the cuckold, foolish doormat. And Will Smith plays a superhero who cannot balance his super powers, courage and responsibility, with consideration for others and social obligation.

Well, it's kind of like saying "No offense, but..." and then saying the most insulting thing possible.

The "no" was me disagreeing with Cool's assertion, that the movie Hancock was an example of Bateman not playing his usual role of the emasculated man. The "probably" was me assuming off the description and reviews, what his role "probably" was.
