If it comes to that, there’s David Oyelowo or John David Washington. More likely they’ll just use Shuri, which I’m not really a fan of. I’d rather if Okoye got it.

I think they will move on to Shuri. She will become the new Black Panther. There's precedent for it as that's exactly what happened in the comic books, and they've already gone a pretty long way towards promoting that character as significant in the movies. I think they'll have T'Challa either sidelined somehow or passing away, and Shuri will become Queen and Black Panther. She's the only one of the blood line.

David Oyelowo, John David Washington, and LaKeith Stanfield are good choices.
I think Yahya Abdul-Mateen II could integrate well into the Black Panther films, but he's already playing the Black Manta from Aquaman.

I don’t know if it’s in poor taste to be discussing this a mere three days after Chadwick Boseman’s passing, but chances are that they’ll just have Shuri take on the mantle. She’s a popular character, and there’s precedent for that in the comics.

Well Idris Elba was already Heimdall, so not sure they can recast a previous MCU character like that. If they are, I'd much prefer they just recast Michael B. Jordan... though that would probably be confusing seeing as he was killed by Black Panther. So yeah, I guess Idris Elba could work. Lord knows he was criminally underused in the MCU.
Personally though, I'd go with Yahya Abdul Mateen.
I would have loved the idea of Shuri being made the next Black Panther if it wasn't for the fact that I'm not impressed by Letitia Wright's acting. Okoye would be a much more preferable replacement as far as acting ability of the actress goes but I'm not sure it would make sense story-wise.
