This is not good. What's the point of making coaches wear masks on the sideline when sweaty players can literally breathe into each other's faces at end of the game (and let's face it, during the game)? That'll teach him not to flop on the sidelines.

Broncos-Patriots being moved to Monday night.
I could get use to Monday night doubleheaders. I'm sure ESPN isn't super happy about it right now, though.

Patriots' facility is closed today after they had another positive test. I'd consider it unlikely that they'll play their game vs Denver tomorrow.

They still intend to play the game as scheduled. Ah, hell, it's only one extra positive result, right? In other news, the Titans have also closed their facility after yet another positive result.

This is quickly turning into quite the shit show. It will be interesting to see if this gets under control or balloons even further.

Another Titans positive? Ffs, just kick them outta the league this year. All games scheduled against them deemed a forfeight and the Titans get the 32nd pick in the draft. As I type this got notified the Broncos/Pats game is postponed.

At 2-2, who am I to argue? Besides, it's not like anyone can claim he did his best coaching when he had Brady to lean on. They once made it to the Super Bowl with the worst defense in the Super Bowl era, it's not like the team needed him to contribute much to be successful. I do appreciate the article's attempt to spin everything in his favor. "Cleveland is 4-1 for the first time since Belichick was their head coach." It doesn't mention he had losing seasons four out of five years there. The author goes on to say the team gave up on him too early. Five seasons, four of them losing, including 5-11 his final season there? I guess they should've waited until they had the chance to draft Brady? I wonder if she even knows the team moved and the current iteration of the Browns is not the same franchise? This is nothing new. Last year there was an article in the Globe-- maybe it was the same author, who knows-- blaming the Patriots offense for their week 17 loss to Miami. Pats offense put up 24 points, including the go ahead TD pass with under 4:00 to play. But the 'boogeymen' led by DPOY Gilmore allowed a 4-11 team to march down the field and score a TD, losing them not only the game, but a bye as well. But it was the offense's fault? One wonders why the press is so afraid to call out Belichick when he does a terrible job, they certainly never had a problem throwing Brady under the bus. I think coaching in general is overrated in sports. There are good coaches, but the 'great coaches' always seem to have the best players. Funny how that works. Take away their players and they become mediocre at best, at least in terms of results. I think coaching is overrated particularly in football because it's the sport most like war. A physical battle for control of an area. In war, good officers are vital. The training, the discipline they instill, the decisions they make under pressure all make the difference in the outcome of the engagement. Football, as warlike as it appears, is still just a sport. And sports are won by talent. You can't coach me to run faster than Usain Bolt or throw a more accurate deep ball than Peyton Manning. In sports you get as far as the talent takes you. Your job as a coach is to not get in the way. Put your players in a position to make a difference, the rest is up to them. You can drill and drill until the cows come home, but the talent makes the difference. And yes upsets happen, but I'm talking about sustained greatness here. Sports, all sports are filled with athletes we call 'great,' whether they've won a title or not. Dan Marino, Charles Barkley, Ted Williams, etc. We only call coaches great when they start winning multiple titles-- and they only do that when they have great players. Look at the history of professional sports. These dynasties come about when talent is amassed on a particular team, and in the old days pre- free agency it was easier to keep a team together. So you had a continued period of success. Now look at the Patriots run of dominance. It literally started the moment Brady became their starting QB, and continued for two decades. Name another QB in the modern era who played for the same team for 19 years. We all agree the QB is the most important player on a football team, yes? I just don't understand why Belichick's greatness was nowhere to be found before Brady stepped onto the field. He had 6+ years of failure as a head coach. TL;DR: Belichick was 42-58 before Brady, blah blah blah.

The Falcons are now working remotely after getting a positive COVID test.
The team was initially hopeful after tests seemed to detect negative results, but closer analysis revealed it to be their point differential.

LeβVeon Bell expected to sign with the Chiefs. Too bad the seasonβs only going for another week, at best... I thought the Steelers had figured out a way to block for his hesitation move but I never thought he could go to another team. Highest rushing yardage since was 87 yards. But he's decent for play action and screens.
