Make $300 million to $500 million more at the box office than it did. And (just like TFA) make it’s detractors feel small and insignificant. But it didn’t turn out that way. And now I think they’re afraid to use Rian Johnson’s ideas right now. His trilogy is stuck in the indefinite zone. And there is no idea when and if that will change.

Missing a few 0's in those numbers I think mate, I don't think an extra $300-500k would have made much difference to TLJ's legacy, $300-500m however is another subject entirely.

I'm on the fence about it. On the one hand he kinda effed up SW with TLJ and definitely effed up Luke by making him curmudgeon and then he dies. Ugh. But on the other hand he is an excellent director with clever spins on old ideas (his episodes of Breaking Bad, and Brick, Looper, Knives out) Its just too bad that he messed up on his biggest project to date, TLJ. But given a clean slate to do SW with all new characters he may surprise us with some of the best SW yet. So.... I dunno.

And you have to mingle with the Politics board's biggest shithead. Says it all about you and your particular fanbase.

Says it all about you and your particular fanbase. I don’t police the politics board to determine if someone over there visits here. I interact with anyone talking about SW. I do know the only comments hobowar ever makes is something akin to “Rian Johnson is the greatest moviemaker ever! Rian Johnson made the only good SW film! The rest of them are crap!” It’s the same thing over and over again and nothing beyond that. I guess that doesn’t speak well to your judgment on this subject.
