Instead of a Clark Kent Superman movie, they could make a Calvin Ellis Superman movie, and see how many people complain about it.
Calvin Ellis is the Black Superman created in 2009 by Grant Morrison and Doug Mahnk

Maybe they can get it right this time. I’ve liked almost all the Superman movies, but they still needs their magnum opus. Superman one and two are becoming very dated.

Assuming the "Black Superman" thing is true, it's probably being done as a substitution for Black Panther with Chadwick Boseman being gone.
