Liza Minelli - the actress (I don't know her as a person)
Whether she's Pookie or Junie, I always feel sorry for her. I guess its her face.

I feel bad for a lot of actresses who have to take supporting mom, girlfriend, or wife roles.

Liza Minelli came immediately to mind on seeing the header, perhaps because I think of her as Pookie.
Sally Field had some tough times.
Kitty Wynn had great potential but walked away from the business. Can't feel sorry for her as It was her decision.

Marilyn Monroe-abused from the time she was a small child; mocked and vilified as an actress; exploited even after her death by co-stars, ex-husband Arthur Miller, and many others who had any tawdry gossip to spew, aware that she had no family to defend her.

Elizabeth Short, the Black Dahlia
A lot of the Silent stars, Louise Brooks, Gloria Swanson, Eleanor Boardman. They were icons, filthy rich and beloved by millions. A short time later, they were nothing. Louise Brooks went from superstar to working a counter at Sak's 5th Avenue. Just because someone put sound on a film. There was nothing wrong with Brooks voice. Hollywood was just done with her, same as Clara Bow

Silvana Gallardo. She played the housekeeper who was brutally gang raped in Death Wish II. Although the rape was simulated, her screams and crying were real.

Kathleen Turner...
A sex symbol of the 1980s... She now is constantly made fun of because of how she looks today...
In the late 90s/Early 00s... She began to suffer from medical problems that almost left her in a wheelchair for the rest of her life...
She is now able to walk as she did when she was younger... But, the cost from the use of Alcohol and Drugs to cope with the pain, to the required medical Treatments... Resulted in the changes in her appearance...
I feel sorry for her, that cruel idiots who don't know a thing about all this, still constantly make fun of her... Which can be hard for anyone to cope with...
However, I greatly respect her, in knowing that... She has a great sense of humor about herself, and has even faced it all head on, by making fun of herself in her recent films...

Emily Lloyd. Propelled into the big time pretty quickly. Did mostly roles in badly received films, whilst losing more prestigious roles, all the time struggling with mental health issues

Lupe Velez. No one's death should be a joke, especially when she didn't drown in the toilet.

Liza's mother is another one, even more so. Judy Garland was pretty, very talented, but if you see her in the amazing movie, "A Child Is Waiting", you'd think she was playing herself. Such a vulnerable role, she was great in it.

Why? I read her Wikipedia bio and didn't see anything bad, is there something they omitted?
