Gilligan's Island hands down.

I remember those terrible shows like It's About Time, Lotsa Luck and the execrable Gilligan's Island (can't stand Bob Denver, to begin with).
I stopped watching sitcoms some 40 years ago when someone decided that funny meant a stream of wink wink sexual innuendos and put downs, far more smutty than amusing.
Reading all the comments here, and getting a lot of tips about shows I've avoided over the last couple of decades, convinces me I made the right decision.

I would also mention The Brady Bunch, but i do think the first season is ok, but it get worst and worst after that and by season 4 its pretty much unwatchable. in my personal opinion.

MeTV is airing a memorial tribute to Ed Asner on 9/5/21 with episodes of THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW starting at 2:00 PM, EDT.
That's the time MeTV airs GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, so fans of that network have a reprieve from that awful sitcom. Although, IMO, it's better than the two stinkers I named in my OP.

I knew of this show and finally got to see an episode a couple years ago on either ME TV or ANTENNA. Dom Deluise's character decided to try wearing a toupee to see if he had better luck with the ladies. I liked it but I'm a big DD fan. That's the only episode I've ever seen though. I know it is still on one of those channels like maybe once a week. I noticed they kept moving it around to odd hours. Shocked no one has mentioned The Ropers. Two more I did not like was Superior Donuts and Dear John, both Judd Hirsch vehicles. I like Taxi though. Dom was great as Vinnie, the deli owner, in the reboot of BURKE'S LAW.

You should be, the opening credits are enough

You should be, the opening credits are enough Another show that's a knockoff/sequel of a better show. I didn't list it, because it's not a sitcom, but Cop Rock falls into this genre. And that was the bottom of the barrel for TV.

Three's a crowd
As for other "awful", two which come to mind: I'm Dickens, He's Fenster and Good Morning World, the latter had Goldie Hawn in a minor role, her debut just before she became really famous on LaughIn.

2 Broke Girls was awful. What I Like About You was possibly worse.
I like Everybody Loves Raymond though and I don't mind Two and a Half Men every now and again.

I was actually fairly okay with Aftermash, and thought it showed some promise of developing into a decent show after they brought on David Ackroyd. But I haven't seen it in a number of years, maybe my opinion would change were I to catch any episodes again. As to the other two, yes--they were abominations.

MASH without Hawkeye, Hunnicutt, Houlihan and the War, too many missing teethe in that comb.
Joanie Loves Chachi, an unfunny sow spun off from a show that had lost its moo long before. Happy Days was awful after Ron Howard left.
WKRP, you can't take two of the funniest characters, Johnny and Venus, and expect it to work. The cast was a revolving door. And they missed a ig opportunity with Tawny Kitaen. She was really good but she was written out.

That was why I thought that, with the introduction of the Ackroyd character (I forget his name), the series might take a shift towards somewhat recapturing the black comic view that the original show had. In this case the enemy would be mindless bureaucracy rather than the war, and Ackroyd's character was something of a Hawkeye type in tilting at the windmills of the Veteran's Administration's various ineptitudes and insanities. But the show got yanked before that possibility could have been explored any more than perfunctorily. I still wish it could have been given another season to develop, under that premise. As for the other two, you'll get no argument. I don't see how either ever even got the green light, except for the fact of Baio's being a teenybopper idol was reason enough apparently, and the notion that the 'WKRP' brand was enough all on its' own to float a reboot. In both cases, a shaky initial belief just bred a really bad show.

Actually, JOANIE LOVES CHACHI was very popular in Korea. Why? Because "chachi" is the Korean word for, uh, the male member!

Mr T & Tina from 1976. Only lasted 6 episodes. “Me and the Chimp” from 1972. Speaks for itself. The TV Guide ad for Mr. T and Tina read, "Tune in tonight for ABC's new hit comedy, "Mr. T. and Tina!" But how can they call it a hit if no one had seen an episode yet? I knew it was going to be a bust just by reading that.

Big Eddie (1975). Abysmal comedy from CBS with Sheldon Leonard as a retired gangster, now a sports entrepreneur and Sheree North as his young wife, a former showgirl. Big Eddie got through 10 episodes before being yanked.

The general cosensus is that TV's worst sitcom is MY MOTHER, THE CAR. But IMO, the TV Razzie goes to both REBA and THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE. Compared to them, MMTC was a masterpiece! What the hell is so funny about grossly neurotic and stupid people? I'll never understand how an intelligent actress such as Julia Louis-Dreyfus could deign to star as such an irritating character. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the cast wanted to kill her! As for REBA--ugh!! The titular star can't act; she can't sing, and her overblown Texas accent sets my teeth on edge! The rest of the cast are just morons. In fact, the only character I remotely like is the little boy, and he gets far less screen time than the annoying "adults". Granted, there are some sitcoms like THE KING OF QUEENS and MAD ABOUT YOU that I've never seen, so I'm in no position to judge them. But IMO, the last truly great TV comedy was THE GOLDEN GIRLS. I realize that many posters will disagree with me, but it sure feels good to vent! To me, the best character from Reba's show is Kyra. God bless you and the cast always!!! Holly

According To JimThe classic white male buffoon as father, a witty and far too attractive wife and annoyingly clever kids. The total cliché of a white suburb family sitcom. There's even a comic strip based on your premise; it's called "Adam@Home". You can see it on GoComics.com.
