Love the Os pick for Donta' Williams an OF from AZ.
Adam Jones but with more power and speed.
4th round is late....dunno why but lots of guys from the PAC 12 are scouted poorly / underrated.

Seems like most of the elite baseball colleges come from the Southeast (SEC) / Middle America (i.e. Big 12) area - or am I off?
Think scouts just tend to disregard a lot players from other areas of the country if they're not playing for the giants in the SEC/BIG 12....
I know up my way (Northeast) college baseball doesn't appear to be too popular. Odd - nor does college football (Northeast) but college basketball is
I mean - sure we've got the Syracuses/Boston College's for college football - but it's always thrown me for a bit of a loop as to why there's no powerhouses up here (guess that used to be Penn State)

The Arizona coach left to go to LSU—like interviewed for the job during the tournament! 😂 so coaches feel that way too. It is more of a baseball culture. I went to a Auburn-LSU reg season game at Auburn and it was packed! Rowdy crowd. And Auburn has ballgirls which are like cheerleaders in football.

Obviously, all athletes from Tulane are amazing. To be honest, I don't know, I don't really follow college baseball all that closely. I caught some of the Vanderbilt games earlier this year but that's about as fervent as my fandom for it gets.

Guess who got promoted after 9 dazzling Single A starts to High-A?
You guessed it!
The Painter!
Paintin' the corners of the strike zone...
And Paintin' his way into our hearts....
Get it Painter!
Get it!
I like it. I do.

From single A to high A in only 9 starts?! That probably hasn't happened more than 900 times this decade.

. From single A to high A in only 9 starts?! That probably hasn't happened more than 900 times this decade. Yep. Retire his number (even though he doesn't have one yet) and put him in the HOF already. right along with Mickey Moniak. He's hitting .140, big improvement from the .091 of last year.

Unadulterated homerism notwithstanding, I actuality am a fan of Painter. He didn't go straight from high school to the majors as some people in earth... well, as one person on earth predicted, but I like him. I do.

I don't like to see any prospect fail. But it's a long road from a Florida HS to the majors. He looked good at Low A.
