Do my eyes deceive me? Is that who I think it is - the #1 Right Handed Pitching Prospect in all of baseball per MLB.com? Painter is the 6th ranked prospect in all of baseball. The top 10
1. Gunnar Henderson, 3B/SS, Orioles 2. Corbin Carroll, OF, D-backs 3. Francisco Álvarez, C, Mets 4. Jordan Walker, OF, Cardinals 5. Anthony Volpe, SS, Yankees 6. Andrew Painter, RHP, Phillies 7. Grayson Rodriguez, RHP, Orioles 8. Jackson Chourio, OF, Brewers 9. Marcelo Mayer, SS, Red Sox 10. Elly De La Cruz, SS/3B, Reds
The Orioles are the only team with two players in the top 10. And they have the #12 prospect, last years #1 overall pick, Jackson Holliday. Of the top 10, only Jackson Chourio and Marcelo Mayer.

My biggest wish as a sports fan (other than the Sixers winning the Title this June) - My favorite pitcher of All-Time Cole Hamels comes home and accepts a bullpen role to tutor Painter, McGarry and Abel as well as our other young guns. I get it was rocky his latter years. He just turned 39 Rumors started swirling a couple of months back he wants to pitch again Yesterday per Jon Heyman - 'Cole Hamels threw for teams today in Arlington, Texas, and was said to look “insanely good.” Predicts he will receive interest off this session. 88-91 mph.'
I get 88-91 mph isn't exactly lighting up the radar gun - but maybe he can rely on some off speed pitches and be Jamie Moyeresque out of the 'pen. Was never a flame thrower anyway. It would come full circle. He started off in our farm system. Comes home to tutor the kids and helps us win another WS

Half the free world predicting Painter needs Tommy John and the kids career is in jeopardy ala Strasburg Turns out it's just a sprain and our young phenom and ROY the Year candidate will be resting for about a month and starting the season in the minors and will likely get a call up during the season
