From a purely musical standpoint, the track by Night Demon is totally thrilling. Exciting bass work which is always a plus for me, those electrifying changes of pace, the atmospheric sound effects at the opening like a John Carpenter horror movie ... so good I played it twice (colourful video too).
Primal Fear - good crime movie with Richard Gere - and a German metal band who can really play on the evidence. Yes, a real ripper, for sure, high velocity all the way.
Dio number is unfortunately coming up as "unavailable". It's an awesome track though, with Vinny Appice on drums, brother of Carmine Appice.

Thanks for feedback! I just edited the OP to include a different video for #4. Hopefully that one works for you.

Yes, have actually “heard of” all 3 of these bands
Night Demon – this was cool, more thrashy and punky and less “anthemic” vocals
Primal Fear – again, liked the more straightforward, thrash drive, vocals still grated a little but
Dio – another pretty cool track, notice it’s a lot earlier than the others. Seems less abrasive and more reliant on pure velocity. Cool vocals too, snappier, punkier and less “showy”

I'm impressed that you've heard of Night Demon and Primal Fear, as they aren't exactly household names.

Probably just recall the names mentioned here or the old IMDb Music Board. I'm guessing there isn't going to be any Black Metal, the one niche metal sub-genre I'm vaguely familiar with.

Night Demon appear in the 2015 and 2017 threads, while Primal Fear is included in the 2020 thread. No niche sub-genres are on my list, as you can see since I've now posted # 3-1.
