Dennis Villeneuve is 100 times the filmmaker that Neil Blomkamp is. Blomkamp is a one hit wonder. *0 hit wonder imo. He’s bad, through and through.

I actually thought he was quite nice. I honestly don’t understand why people are so offended. 😂How was that nice? It was hypocritical and maybe him being a hypocrite made him sound funny but it was hardly nice. I found him funny that he's directing a Star Wars copy and paste while moaning about the same thing. Is English your first language? Cope

Haha it's funny because when I watched his Dune trailer it has the same Marvel humour, the Paul Atreides IronMan battle suit and Jason Momoa's character looks like he's been cut and paste straight out of a Marvel movie himself. He's a fucking hypocritical idiot.

What? Is this the Sunday for antisocial retards or what? First Sal now you. I may be developmentally disabled, but, I assure you, I'm anything but antisocial. There's no cause to lay a foul tongue on me, Sir. I am as God made me.

Well I judge it like this: So far, SO FAR, I've liked all of Villeneuves movies. Even the unusual Enemy. Whereas I've only truly liked one of Blomkamps movies, the excellent District 9. All his other movies have been a poor man's version of that same theme.

Whereas I've only truly liked one of Blomkamps movies, the excellent District 9. All his other movies have been a poor man's version of that same theme. His movies may be imperfect, but Blomkamp's vision of the future is far more compelling and visceral to me. While Denis' work is always picture-perfect and narratively engaging, his work in science fiction is generally too obtuse and layered for my taste. Incendies, Prisoners and, to a lesser extent, Sicario are all excellent films, though. Arrival is the closest I've come to enjoy his work in the genre, but, let's be honest, it's a snoozefest. His take on the world of Blade Runner was, at best unnecessary at worst, a constant reminder of why the original will never be bested. And now Dune… Congrats to his agent for successfully getting him on the "established IP" train.
