Hello all.
I think I spotted a comment from DRK over the weekend querying whether we are up to date with those postponed matches. The answer is, almost. There are just five covid games to be rearranged with a date. There is a rearrangement on Tuesday (Burnley v Leicester) and we can look forward to a full 10-game card this weekend including Monday night action at the Tottenham Stadium.
Of the four rearrangements played last midweek, nobody predicted Burnley's home win over Tottenham, a result that sent Antonio Conte into a meltdown, from which he now seems to have recovered. Spare a thought for DSH who was for the second time this season denied last minute access to the Lone Ranger Table by Arsenal's Lacazette. Back in October he potted a 95th minute leveller v Palace with DSH the only player on the Palace win, and on Thursday Lacazette was at it again, potting a 95th minute winner against Wolves with DSH the only player on the draw.
That's tough. But, hey, we do have a scalp from the weekend's action with serial-scalper NUT at it again with Aston Villa's win at Brighton. With a quarter of the season remaining, he's making serious headway towards his record of 15 scalps in a single season. Watford's goalless result at Old Trafford was picked by just two (NUT, WFORT) while four players did well to claim the draw between Palace and Burnley.
The weekend's card has some intriguing ties; there is the Manchester derby, a huge game for freefalling Brentford - in fact, interesting fixtures all round.
* I have caught up with Insurance claims and NUT receives 6 in absentia points for missing Rounds 24 and 25, I receive 3 points for missing Round 25.
