Yankees keep Paredes from a 4th home run in the 7th by hitting him. Hopefully that leads to hate, anger, & midiclorian bench clearings from now til' October between them... let them tear each other apart while Toronto goes about it.

Going to my first Padres game of the season tonight - - and I got a Musgrove game! He can break the record for most consecutive quality starts to start a season tonight.

It's been a lark waiting for Judge to get injured. Now I hope they all just fall apart... Donaldson, Lemahieu, Stanton... the lot of them. Do we want that bunch in the f'n record books??

This is a song for the pitchers. But hitters, listen closely.
You don't always have to throw it hard. In fact sometimes that's not right to do. Sometimes you gotta make some glove and fuckin give 'em some changeups too.
Sometimes ya got to tease. Sometimes ya gots to throw cheese. Sometimes ya gotta say hey
I'm gonna throw it softly I'm gonna toss it gently I'm gonna fire it sweetly I'm gonna bury it discreetly
Happy Alcantara Day!

Verlander vs. Severino today. What d'ya think? Who's going to prevail? I'll say a no-decision for the starters and a Yanks win.

I'm a day behind with this, but what percentage of situations do you think a healthy player is benched on his bobblehead day? Because that happened last night with Cronenworth on the game my son and I went to see.
There is every chance that game will be the worst lineup that the Padres field all year. No Tatis, Machado, Myers, Voit, or Cronenworth. Three players (Hosmer, Profar, and Alfaro) would be starters in an optimal Padres lineup. They need to make a trade for some outfielder (Benetendi, Mancini, Santander, etc).
Still, I got to see my son as a sports fan for the first time at a venue. The last time I went to a Pads game, he was more interested in the concession stands than the game. Last night, he was booing Musgrove for a crappy outing. Not saying that he was right in doing so - - but I'm excited for the passion. I want to see a lot more games with him now.
