Other than speculation, is this confirmed? I can't find anything concrete on the matter, but I hope he is. It's long overdue for us to see him in action.
I hope he will at the very least make an appearance.

I'm still not sure whether Avengers 3 and 4 are both about the Infinity Wars... If so maybe Thanos is in the fourth but not the third?
Personally I don't quite understand the hype though. I'm not thrilled about the main villain being a purple CGI blob.

I hope he will at the very least make an appearance. He'll make an appearance, and in fact I believe the story will be about him, and how he came to power and why he wants the stones.
Most of the films action looks like it's likely going to center around his henchmen, the Cull Obsedian, and perhaps even Hela or others. I suspect him fighting an Avenger might only occur in a climax scene.

I thought it was assumed he would be the "last boss" type endgame villain for all of the first three phases. Er, Phases. Who else would even be in it as villains? HYDRA?

I don't who else it could be. Unless Marvel got the rights to a whole bunch of galactic characters tied in with the X-Men and Fantastic Four while we weren't looking.

I just don't find the "must find something to complain about" crowd to be the fun part of discussing something you claim to be a fan of. I know I don't leave the theater thinking to myself "what sucked?" or go into a film thinking "what's going to suck?" This film series deserves praise, and they've done far more than enough to earn the benefit of any doubt. |

Seriously, nobody thinks or claims that except maybe a few comic book nerds, who did not get that these movies suffer from a lack of serious antagonists. I just had to look that purple CGI blob up. Looks like a Saturday morning matinee cartoon villain to frighten 8 year olds. As you said, horrible in concept and design. |

All I'm saying is I prefer to enjoy every aspect of what the MCU has accomplished. I don't derive joy out of nitpicking true works of art that have earned appreciation, and the MCU is the greatest comic film achievement, and one of the very greatest film achievements of all time. It has earned a respect level above nitpicking it, and I truly don't understand the person that needs to find things to complain about with it. |

Well we know that Thanos isn't the only villain in the film, the set photos basically confirmed it. My guess is the Black Order will play a big part in Infinity War.

I'm happy to respond reasonably to a reasonable concern, but you didn't post a reasonable concern. If you would like some specific design for Thanos, then articulate that. But don't post hyberbole and then act like the person who responds to you is being the unreasonable one.
Now, did you have some particular concern with Thanos' look, because I'm of the opinion he looks fine. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts if we can move on.
