Just read an article that twenty years ago as the NFL was making its new division format. The NFL asked Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga if he wanted to be in the AFC East or the AFC South. He obviously chose the East. If he had chosen South, the Colts would have been in the East, making for two Brady-Manning games minimum for years.

Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar was found dead Wednesday in an apparent rock climbing accident near Idyllwild, California. He was 31.
The Riverside County sheriff's coroner's office on Thursday identified Escobar along with one other climber, 33-year-old Chelsea Walsh. Firefighters found them dead after a climbing accident involving two people was reported around noon Wednesday near Tahquitz Rock in the San Bernardino National Forest.
Officials indicated Escobar and Walsh died at the scene while climbing a "rock face."
A small amount of rain fell in the area earlier in the day, but officials didn't immediately say if weather was a factor in the deaths.
Escobar was the Cowboys' second-round pick in 2013 and spent three seasons with them. He also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins. He last played in the NFL in 2018, finishing his career with 30 catches and eight touchdowns.
Escobar had been working as a firefighter in Long Beach, California, since February. In a social media post, the Long Beach Fire Department said Escobar leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Mike McDaniel is treading thin. Says he won't dispute what process results he saw via protocol. How's about what we all f'n saw of Tua stumbling off the mat on Sunday.
Max Kellerman came out hot, with legit take because of how many thousands of boxing matches he's witnessed live. Ppl who get concussed very often don't know they were. Boxers get up at a 7 or 8 count ready for action, when every other living breathing individual saw them crash smack out cold on the mat moments earlier. Just because Tua is back in the huddle on Sunday in the Bills game, or 4 days later doesn't mean guy's healthy.
This could be a story for years & years... if he doesn't live a long life & his extended family brings the heat.
Remember, these Miami Dolphins wanted to make DeShaun Watson the highest paid player in NFL history. They're a not a great look.

How were we to know stumbling around the field needing assistance to walk after smacking his head was a bad sign? Why wouldnโt we start him 4 days later?โ

It's comical that they're releasing this information as if it doesn't make them look worse. "We were going to sit him, I mean look at how the guy was stumbling around out there. But this specialist twisted our arm, we had no choice but to put Tua in harm's way."

The 281 points scored in the Lions first four games is an NFL record. They lead the league in scoring (140 points) and points allowed (141).
Lions games are probably the most exciting, but other than Thanksgiving, all of their games are relegated to the 1 pm slot.

Patrick Mahomes is three passing touchdowns away from matching Troy Aikman's career total.
Aikman will be in the booth calling Chiefs/Raiders on MNF.

Saw this earlier today: the last time the Steelers were a -14 or greater underdog: 1969.
There aren't many things in football anymore where "the last time . . ." is before I was born.

I could be wrong, but I think the new concussion protocol will have a big effect on the playoffs. A QB will waver a little and he'll be out for the game. More of a stumble and he won't play the next game, either, if they win.
