From Henry Cavill:
ā Right now I canāt share anythingā¦but in time, Iāll be able to share and everyone will hear all the exciting things to come. There is such a bright future ahead for the character, and Iām so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.ā

I mean, Iām not a fan of Cavill at all, and in this poll I voted for complete reboot, but I could see a good new director taking a Man of Steel 2 in a different direction. My advice would be borrowing more from the comics, which have some good stories, or at least kernels, there. (Iām not wild about Amy Adamsās Lois, though. I miss the mix of spikiness and kindness that Teri Hatcher and especially Dana Delaney pulled off so well.)
Iād particularly like an adaptation of Alan Moore and Curt Swanās Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?, though that would have to be the final entry in a series (and have a better actor than CavillāSupes gets a character arc and has to live with the consequences of his actions).

"...Henry Cavill further went on to comment efforts of producers Danny Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Johnson, who'd "been working very hard to make this happen" adding, "Over many years of conversation, it got to a point where they said, 'Right, okay, we are green-lit for this." He went on to say, "So I slipped into the suit and came to work." When further pressed by the hosts about a standalone movie, the actor stayed tight-lipped saying, "I can't say anything official on what will or won't be happening, but there are murmurings." Though he teasingly added, "We'll see."

I thought they wanted him to direct a Lobo movie.

āā¦ It was a powerful moment for me, a meaningful moment. I was given a choice of which suit I wanted to wear, and I went straight for the Man of Steel suit. That one holds the most nostalgia for me, and the most meaning. To put that back on, and stand there in front of a mirror suited up again, the suit holds a special power, and there's no way of getting around that, even if you are the one wearing it. To see myself standing back in that suit was a meaningful moment. It's difficult to describe. Many years hoping, planning, striving, doing everything I can to get back into it, and then finally be able to get back into it, it meant a lot and it's something that I won't quickly forget.ā collider.com/henry-cavill-superman-man-of-steel-costume-black-adam-comments/

During an interview with IGN, Cavill shared his thoughts on Gunn's new role. "I have not met James yet," the actor started by admitting. "I'm looking very forward to meeting him. He's clearly a very, very talented man, and I cannot wait to sit down and have long, long conversations with him. I'm very excited about him being there and very excited about any future opportunities we can work together."

During a recent interview with ExtraTV promoting Enola Holmes 2, Cavill revealed how long he plans to play Superman in the DCU. The Clark Kent actor says he is humbled to be back and plans to play Superman "for many years to come as long as [he does] justice by the character."

I recently read Cavill bowed out of The Witcher and I saw glimpses that he was going to be playing Superman again but didn't follow up. Now I see it's true and I couldn't be happier about that. Finally some good news from WB/DC.

Finally some good news from WB/DC. With everything else going on, I'm still surprised it's actually happening. Keaton back, Jackman back, now Cavill, it's a weird time for the genre.

Eh if so, I hope they don't pick David Yates.

I apologize, I was distracted. What did she say again? I would certainly like it if Adams did return.

I like how honest and blunt Gunn is here, it's quite refreshing.
