Now how is the hell would they know what his face looked like? Certainly, he wasn't blond haired and blue eyed like many paintings I've seen but no one knew what his face looked like. And I bet he wasn't 7 feet tall and talked like he was freshly lobotomized.

Forensic scientists can do the reconstructions of famous people using their skulls.They did it with Tamerlane, Ivan the Terrible and others. But you need the skull and I sincerely doubt that Mary Magdalene's skull is floating around somewhere, let alone Jesus of Nazareth's.
The is a bust of Cleopatra that is thought to be a contemporary likeness. She looks okay nothing like Claudette Colbert or Liz Taylor. Histories say that she wasn't a great beauty but had certain intangibles. The riches of Egypt being one. And she was the end product to generations of inbreeding. And not just cousins like the Habsburgs. Mother-Son, Sister-brother, daughter-father. It's a wonder she didn't have seven arms and the IQ of a geranium.

That probably is a fairly accurate depiction of Cleopatra. She was 100% Greek and a product of 10-15 generations of inbreeding. Aquiline noses were considered a sign of nobility.
She was a great seductress, not necessarily a great beauty, particularly not by modern standards.
