Dream a Little Dream (1989)Wow, this was quite a mess. And not sure where to begin, but what the hell happened during the making of this? And how did they manage to get hold of such good and likeable actors as Harry Dean Stanton and Jason Robards? Anyway, the two Corey's star together once more, and this time it is Feldman who is the main lead, where as Haim take on the "funny" sidekick part, showing up, every now and then. Between the two not so "likeable" pals, we do at least end up with a smokin' hot Meredith Salenger, who wears those tight leotards, like there's no tomorrow, and is surely one of the few real highlights of this comedy "classic". I really wanted to like it, at least a bit more, but yeah, with a runtime going almost up to 2 hours, at least 20-25 of those far too many minutes, should be brutally trimmed down, due to including just far too many random and not funny or amusing Corey moments, that should end up in the bonus material, for the left overs. At times it looks and feels like 2-3 different movies all wrapped up in one, and then you have the dream sequences, music parts and Corey Haim goofing around, and doubt he was acting, but somehow it ended up in the film, and it even ended up having a much later sequel, which I doubt I will bother with anytime soon. 4/10

Midnight Run (1988), the classic road movie with De Niro and Charles Grodin. I hadn't seen it in decades, but is still as good as I remember. I always admired how well that one balances its dual comedic and serious tones. The confrontation scene between Grodin and Dennis Farina is genuinely intense and scary, and yet it doesn't feel inconsistent with the rest of the movie at all.

Dennis Farina is such a boss in this film, and also loved him in a bit more sympathetic older mobster part, in which he did at least two or three times through different seasons on Miami Vice. Anyway, so many great and memorable lines just coming from his performance in Midnight Run alone, balancing from scary and ruthless, towards more funny, but of course, with a lethal timing and delivery, and where the fun part is more down to his clumsy co-workers, screwing things up.

Beavis & Butt-Head Do The Universe (2022) Another series of misunderstandings that revolve around the brain-dead teens' quest to get laid, causing disasters of epic proportions. So it basically follows the same pattern as Do America, but there's nothing wrong with that at all. It's a formula that works well and I wouldn't have it any other way. Provides plenty of belly laughs and some sharp satire. Plus there's a cameo appearance by none other than Cornholio (he still needs TP for his bunghole). I had a great time with it. 7/10

Moonstruck / Norman Jewison (1987). A layered, beautifully written comedy about love at all ages.

Practically Yours (1943). Absurd comedy about a Ww2 pilot (Fred McMurray) who is thought to have died dive bombing a Japanese warship. His last words before he dived were that he wished he could walk in the park with Peggy one more time. Listeners assume this is a girl who works in the same office he was in before he joined up. Peggy (Claudette Colbert) is very surprised because she didn’t think he was interested in her, and regretful because she has admired him for some time. However, it turns out he isn’t dead and when he gets home he is very surprised to find people assume he and Peggy are engaged, because he was actually talking about his dog, Piggy. Peggy is very disappointed when she finds out, but she persuades him to go on pretending they are engaged until he goes back to the airforce after his two weeks leave, because there is a lot of public interest in them. The plot from then on is fairly predictable. It has a few laughs, but not enough.

The Banshees of Inisherin, which made me laugh out loud more than any film in ages. Martin McDonagh really does a marvellous job of juggling tones - it's both wonderfully funny and dreadfully sad, often at the same time.

My Sassy Girl. Wasn't feeling it until the last 20 minutes or so. One of the biggest 180s in a movie I've seen.

Somehow I never got around to watching Seven Psychopaths... I need to rectify that!

Not very funny and just downright gross for the first half or so but started to get more tolerable as it went along. It does not hold a candle to the originals though. 5.5/10

I actually don;t even remember that movie enough to know whether it is a comedy or not. Aren't they drug addicts or something?

Terrible movie. Rodney Dangerfield is sort of entertaining, but the writing and directing are awful. Burt Reynolds in this movie the same year as Boogie Nights.

Their friend ODs so they try to go into rehab, whacky hijinks ensue. If you ever needed aid from a government program it's funny and easy to relate to. Very different side to Tupac here that his other movies. Gang Related came out the same year. I'd say Gridlock'd is probably his best movie while that is his best performance.

Remote (1993) by Ted Nicolaou Somehow I have always wanted to give it a go, due to seeing it being brought up with similar Home Alone/Problem Child/Dennis the Menace rip-offs of the early 90s. And I guess Full Moon Features wanted to have a go at a younger audience back then, but maybe more cash in on the success of the mentioned films. And in this film you have a technological little wizard, who has a talent of remote controls and at times, it feels like more of a toy commercial for Tyco than a family movie. Throw in your "classic" 90s mumbling and goofy gang of villains, a large empty house and a kid who always seems to be well prepared and one step ahead of his enemies, and you end up with a rather forgettable film. Well, we do get a creepy yodeling Hitler doll, which even seem to have a talent of appearing throughout the film. Character actor John Diehl plays the main villain, but yeah, I am glad I did not waste any money on this one, not bad, just not very good. Appear to be uploaded in rather decent quality from Full Moon Features very own Youtube Channel, along with many other of their releases. 4/10

It does not hold a candle to the originals though. 5.5/10 Saw it years ago, and yeah, it did feel like it tried a bit too hard of overdoing the originals, by throwing in some very cheap and poor "jokes", but at least it ended up becomming a bit more decent, the further it got. Also helped having Christina Applegate in there as well. But not something I would bother revisiting anytime soon.
