Beavis & Butt-Head Do The Universe (2022) Another series of misunderstandings that revolve around the brain-dead teens' quest to get laid, causing disasters of epic proportions. So it basically follows the same pattern as Do America, but there's nothing wrong with that at all. It's a formula that works well and I wouldn't have it any other way. Provides plenty of belly laughs and some sharp satire. Plus there's a cameo appearance by none other than Cornholio (he still needs TP for his bunghole). I had a great time with it. 7/10 Glad you enjoyed it, and hopefully I might get around to look it up, maybe go along with the latest Bill and Ted film.

Black Knight (2001) by Gil Junger I guess there was quite a bit of a medieval theme going on back in 2001, with A Knight's Tale, the American big budget remake of the classic french Les Visiteurs (1993) in the sadly very poor Just Visiting, and then there was Black Knight, much later on. Having seen all three, and while surely Black Knight is not a great comedy, it does deliver a fun time travel journey, back to the 14th century, where Martin Lawrence soon realizes he can become something more than just your everyday slacker. However, he also learns that the good times does not last for very long in those dark days, and must find a way to use his survival skills to help out his fellow man. Seen it years ago on cable tv, and somehow decided to give it another shot. And for a very lighthearted comedy, it did what it set out to do, and I end up with the same rating as back in the mid 00s: 5,5/10

Knights of Badassdom (2013) by Joe Lynch Another lousy impulsive pick from Youtube some late night, but well, I knew it starred Summer Glau, and I guess that alone made me want to give it a go. In other parts you have Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage and Ryan Kwanten, so it looked kind of impressive on paper, and hoped for something not too far off Fanboys (2009) or Role Models (2008). Sadly however, it kind of went nowhere, and well, Summer looked mighty fine and there was a few minor laughs, here and there but it felt like the makers never really had any belief in their film, and tried to overshadow it with cheap laughs and most of the time they just bounced right off. 4/10Get Shorty (1995) Another one I have not seen for almost a decade, but as always, I enter in hopes of something far more rewarding than what I usually ends up with. Probably due to the impressive cast, also knowing this was released around the time of Travolta and his big comeback period. However, the attempt on being constantly edgy and cool might have worked back then, but it soon wears off badly, and if not for the performances by Dennis Farina, James Gandolfini and Gene Hackman, I would most likely gotten rid of the DVD years ago. Thankfully, I did exactly that, with the horrible sequel Be Cool (2004), which was painfully unfunny. 6/10Ute av Drift! (1992) by Knut Bohwim Aka Out of Order!, which is yet another film I have ended up with from browsing around on Youtube late at night, and is based upon an british play or so it says, and contains some of the most beloved Norwegian actors of the 80s and early 90s. With a running time not far of 2 hours, the last part does overstay its welcome, but it never gets to become boring. One of those I was not aware has been released on DVD years ago, and of course when I finally watch it and goes looking for it, then it says "Out of production", but yeah, at least someone has been generous of putting the whole thing up for free. 6/10
Avenging Angelo (2002) by Martyn Burke Another "winner" starring Sylvester Stallone from a dark period of box office poison and failures during the late 90s and into the 00s. I guess the popular in demand mobster comedies such as Analyze This, Analyze That, The Whole Nine Yards, Mickey Blue Eyes and such were still considered good business, and with The Sopranos still dominating the tv-screens, the romantic Sly Stallone attempt on the mentioned entertainment, turned into a bit of a so-so comedy, which still manages to include some funny and sweet moments, but also a few rather cringeworthy and not that "hilarious" attempts. Also, I think it was the very last performance from the legend that was Anthony Quinn. Well, it does have a very sexy Madeleine Stowe and then there is Stallone trying to cover up his recent kills with tragic stories about squirrels having overeaten so much, that they have gotten stuck inside the walls and must fart their way out of there, and yeah, not much more to go on, but I do own two DVD copies of the film, so I guess there is a reason for that somewhere. 5/10

The French Dispatch Decent movie, the visuals are excellent, which is not surprising for a Wes Anderson movie but overall, I just didn't think it was that good. TFD consists of a series of short stories and I didn't find any of'em that appealing. Although, it was kind of fun when the movie was focused on the characters that work at the Dispatch, beyond this, I just couldn't get into it, it's a 5/10 from me. Before this I saw The Banshees Of Inisherin. Very good movie, I thought it was quite funny. A good mix of great cinematography and top-notch acting. But it's not for the faint of heart. Very dark humor going on here. But it's a 7.5/10.

An oldie but a goodie, the classic indie gem Trust (1990). Well comedy-drama but still very funny.

A Gnome Named Gnorm (1990) by Stan Winston Oh man, I really need a change in how and what I waste my time on watching these days, just way too much junk, and it cannot continue for much longer. Anyway last night I somehow decided to give this "classic" a chance, and began to wonder far too early at how the hell did stuff like this actually got made. But seeing all the well known names involved, like Stan Winston who probably used some of his star power to help influence this mess, at least his first film Pumpkinhead (1988) was actually a damn good one, his second though, was anything but that. Throw in a ridiculous idea of having a douchy cop being teamed up with some hairy little creature and we call it a day, which of course was surely no shock, considering all the awful attempts on milking the buddy-cop genre for all it was back then. Well, the Bratpack star Anthony Michael Hall shares the limelight with a small creepy as hell gnome named Gnorm, who is in search of some precious and shiny stone, and the duo soon find themselves in a whole lot of trouble. The only reason that I kind of kept myself awake and "focused", was due to the lovely Claudia Christian, who a few years earlier had a bit part in the superior buddy-cop movie The Hidden. In other parts, Robert Z'Dar and Jerry Orbach provides the sleazy bad guys roles. Michael Hall sure knew how to pick them back then, I mean after all his classic teenage roles in the John Hughes movie universe, he was really on a "roll" trying to break free from the geeky and charming characters he often portrayed. Well, instead he kind of fell straight into the douchy and smug asshole part, but without managing to make the viewers feel kind of sorry or cheering for him, just an unlikeable fella I could not bother with. And well, at least he did that part to almost perfection with his upcoming performance as an asshole high school jock in Edward Scissorhands. But one have to wonder if he just picked any movie that came along his way, and did not bother to look too much into the script. Anyway, this film must have caused quite some traumas for both kids and olders ones, as the anything but "charming" duo is so unlikeable and annoying, and throw in some sleazy sex jokes, where the touchy little fella and his attempts on groping hot women, well I have no idea how they thought this would sit well with a big audience, like it was Gremlins meets E.T. or something. 3/10I did not get a whole lot of sleep last night, after this "charming face" showed up too often, and also his attempts on getting a handful of women and also trying to force himself upon getting a kiss from Claudia Christian, who did not look too impressed:

I wasn’t expecting much, but came away enjoying Carl Reiner’s erotic thriller/film noir spoof. Taking aim at Basic Instinct, Double Indemnity and Cape Fear. While the jokes don’t always hit, it moves along quickly and the performances are spot on.

2/10This is a really terrible redo of the 80s film. The only positive thing I can say about it is that Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris are pretty good in it. Otherwise its a highly predictable and very unfunny. I dont even like the premise of the film since it looks on a positive side of kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome. I watched the whole film but man this was a tough one to get through. It felt like I was watching for 6 hours.
