On suggestions that the NFL is considering making neutral-field conference championships a regular thing going forward - I'll admit to being against it. So teams will fight all season for the #1 seed just so they can host a divisional round game? We'll see if the majority of owners go for it; obviously, they'll make the decision that results in more money for them. Yeah I don't mind it under special circumstances, but it shouldn't become the norm.

Reminds me of baseball's chatter a few years back about a neutral site WS Game 1. Apples & oranges, I wonder if Major League Soccer will ever revert to its neutral site MLS Cup title match, which they actually had for several years. The only way this would work for the NFL is if both fanbases in the conference title game showed up like a Super Bowl or NCAA conference title game. Would the AFC & NFC start choosing party cities like the usual SB host cities, would that a. be good or worse b. spoil the SB neutral site uniqueness? Las Vegas, New Orleans, Miami, Los Angeles... dunno. Jaguars vs. Bengals with 6 days for fans to travel to Los Angeles... is that fair? Giants vs. 49ers, travel plans to Atlanta within 6 days?? I say no. Why not like NCAA meet in the middle a bit with road fan sections for those title games, not neutral sites.

The bottom line is there's no way the owners will agree to possibly losing a home game. Too much revenue at stake. That and as sdm pointed out, the importance of regular season games is further diluted if you don't get homefield throughout the playoffs for finishing first.

It's why they want players to die on the field... err... a hill with 17 games now.

I'm sure the good people of Philadelphia are doing their best to get the situation fixed as soon as possible.

Cannot wait for these games - they are all intriguing Chiefs/Jags is the game most likely to be lopsided as they Chiefs have the AFCβs best record and are loaded with talent and have arguably the most explosive offense in the NFL while the Jags barely snuck into the playoffs, but the Jags are red hot right now so I could see them making it a good game. It would take a near miracle for them to go into Arrowhead and win, but I wonβt rule anything out. Eagles/Giants is a game in which the Eagles would appear to have a heavy advantage, but this will be the 3rd meeting between the teams and itβs hard to beat a team 3 times in a year and so both teams will know each other pretty well, Iβm curious if the Giants secondary can hold up against the 2 excellent Eagles receivers Brown and Smith, and the battle between the Giants O-Line and the Eagles pass rush will be good. Bengals/Bills is the most intriguing game of the weekend and the most evenly matched - both teams are extremely talented but both have some work to do and didnβt look 100% sharp in their first playoff game, the Bengals have the better offense IMO while the Bills have the better defense. Could go either way, Iβm picking the Bengals because I trust Burrow more than Allen, and the Bills turnover problems and inconsistent run game are concerns, although the Bengals arenβt great at corner and will need to prevent big plays. Cowboys/49ers is very interesting as well, both teams have very strong defenses that are good at each level and can force turnovers and pressure the QB, and I think the team that wins the turnover battle wins the game. Iβm picking the Niners because they are at home, are red hot and have a more complete offense than the Cowboys, it will be interesting to see if Purdy maintains his hot streak and how Dak does. Overall I canβt wait for this weekend - arguably the best weekend of football in the year!! I agree about Chiefs and Jags. The Eagles 1rst string quarterback being injured and not 100 percent could have a big affect on the outcome. Joe Burrow is a winner. Josh Allen has a history of not winning big games. Cowboys have a recent history of losing in the post season.

Some people say Aaron Rodgers won't win another Super Bowl because he's paid too much money. Not leaving enough to pay good players on his team.

I'm sure the good people of Philadelphia are doing their best to get the situation fixed as soon as possible. Well, they are shit out of luck, because nobody works in Philly on the weekend.

The Redskins had to change their name, and the Chiefs are allowed to have a big war drum...?!

Some people say Aaron Rodgers won't win another Super Bowl because he's paid too much money. Not leaving enough to pay good players on his team. Similar can be said about every elite QB who got paid. That's is one idea of the cap space. You can't outpay the competition like in Europe. Also good for the profits of the owners...

Mahomes to Kelce for the TD to cap off a long Chiefs drive, 7-0 KC. Great start for the Chiefs.
