Welcome back to another week of the BEST & WORST edition of 'what movies did you see last week?' thread. For those who haven't been part of it before, basically your host (me) posts my weekly movies and you can comment on those and list your movie for the same time frame. I will get back to you on yours and you can talk to other users here about their films. It's a great place to talk about film. FIRST TIME FILM VIEWINGCreed 3 (2023, Michael B. Jordan) CinemaThe Creed offshoot of the Rocky franchise steps out of the shadow of Rocky. A solid directorial debut with hood acting all around. Some of the dramatic expositions were a little over the top and probably 15-20 minutes of those scenes could be trimmed but overall a great entry. 7.5/10Scream 6 (2023, Matt Oplin, Tyler Gillit) CinemaAfter the very disappointing part 5 the same team move the action to Manhattan and it’s a refreshing change of scenery. I didn’t care for the first 20 minutes or the last 20 minutes with both being egregious in the no logic category. However the middle 80 minutes is great and full of awesome set pieces. I don’t think the lead screws from this and the prior film is any good but despite its problems this might be the best sequel yet. (Not seen 2-4 in a long time though) 6/10REPEAT FILM VIEWINGDeath Wish 5 (1994, Alan A. Goldstein) blu rayUnderrated and pretty nasty entry in the series. My ranking for the 5 films remains the same after rewatches. 6/10FIRST TIME TV VIEWINGChris Rock: Selective Outrage (2023, Stan Up Special) NetflixSolid special with a passionate ending. Good to have you back Chris. Solid TVREPEAT TV VIEWINGThe Mandalorian (2019, Season One) Disney+Even better than I remembered. Death Wish 5 - 5/10
Mine:
Suicide Squad (2016) - 10/10 This is a film that many tend to hate but I think is a absolute fun blast.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) - 5/10 OK sequel. Watchable but did not feel much for it.
House Party (2023) - 2/10 Terrible remake of the 1990 film. Unfunny and the two leads are unlikeable.
The Ritual Killer (2023) - 2/10 Dull thriller that makes little sense.
Sacrilege (2020) - 4/10 Pretty dull but not the worst supernatural horror film.
Superman: Unbound (2013) - 4/10 A lesser DC animated film.

Chopper is my favorite from that director but coward Robert ford is very close. chopper is also my favorite Australian film. Speaking of Australian films, any interest in The Proposition that I also watched this week? Good western in my opinion. I’m assuming you’ll see creed 3 and scream 6?
