Crucible of Horror (1971) Another movie I thought would be a FTV, but wasn't (Comcast billed it on their menu as Crucible of Terror, a different movie from 1971). Anyway Michael Gough gives a decent performance as an abusive and domineering family patriarch whose wife and daughter are planning his demise. Other than that, I'm still not sure WTF was going on. 4½/10.

A rewatch of the original My Bloody Valentine (1981). It felt fresh since it's been forever since I saw it last.

This is a fun time-travel slasher movie. It is about a teenage girl who goes back to the 1987 via a time machine to try and stop 3 other girls from being killed. I was disappointed with various aspects of the movie, but overall it was worth watching for being a bit more original than the usual slasher movies. I am also getting a bit tired of the 80s throwback horror movies even though this movie captures the feel of 1980s teen movies relatively well.

Cold Eyes of Fear(1971) Italian, dubbed English. In London a lawyer and a hooker he picks up go to his Judge uncles home for some fun. What they find is a gunman, with unknown motives, who holds them prisoner. 5/10.

THE NIGHTCOMERS 1971 -Marlo Brando is Quint-not a fisherman-an Irish stable hand who acts as an older brother for two kids with dead parents on a country estate. Stephanie Beacham is their governess and his S & M mistress. A prequel to Turn of the Screw apparently. I felt it was well-made technically speaking, but kind of pointless.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY 1986 - It fooled more than once. There are some good suspenseful scenes. Lucky thing I didn't read up on it too closely.
I think Deborah Foreman is too cute to be threatening as a killer though

Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll (1974) Paul Naschy, in a non werewolf role, is an ex-con who wanders into town and and takes a job working for 3 attractive sisters, each with their own particular neurosis. Meanwhile there's a serial killer on the loose who kills blue eyed blonds and removes their eyes. 6/10.

The Other Hell (1981). Demonic possession in a convent. Sounded like the type of Nunsploitation trash that I like. Unfortunately, no sex or nudity here, just a few bloody killings and a plot that doesn't make a lot of sense. 3/10.

The Wolfman (2010) This movie has gotten a fair amount of hate over the years, but I like it. The final werewolf fight was a bit over the top but other than that, there's plenty to like. I had no problem with the plot changes from the original(which I also like), they gave it an identity of it's own. It has a good cast that do a good job, and I liked the cinematography, a bit dark at times, but some of those night shots in the woods were creepy and memorable. I also liked the ending which seemed to be setting up a sequel which, unfortunately, never happened. 7½/10.

CITY OF THE DEAD 1980 - I had seen it before but forgot most of it. I was surprised to see Christopher George in it. It seemed to me the ending was edited in a way to make it ambiguous. Was it a happy ending initially and they decided to add some screams. It felt like that. I am not a gore fan so I just looked at it as something with a few creepy moments but disjointed in character. The bleeding from the eyes was a neat effect though.

Nightwish (1989) 4 grad students and their professor go to a remote house to conduct death in dream experiments. Plot confusing and chaotic, but threw in enough surprises to keep me interested.

Tourist Trap (1979) Some unlucky young folks break down by a remote closed down tourist wax museum and accept help from the owner, Chuck Connors, who supposedly lives there alone. Standard stupidity of the young folks and boarderline magical abilities of the killer had my eyes rolling. Connors performances and some pretty girls are the plusses. This was marked "uncut". but there was no sex, nudity, or even very much blood, so I don't know what was cut, maybe some curse words? 4/10.
