I had Gibbs and Hooker going to Detroit in my mock. Let's just forget at what picks I had them there and count them as wins.
Detroit is definitely looking to be running the NFC North for the foreseeable future. I like what they're doing. Not sure on value of the picks at those spots but they're getting good players.

I think Detroit is a perfect fit for Hooker. Due to his injury, he probably couldn't play this year. He gets to sit, heal, and learn. Jared Goff is decent but not a QB for a deep playoff run. Hooker could take the route that Mahomes took.

Richardson, Stroud, and Levis all in the same division.

Our offense was garbage last year, so of course we draft three defensive players first. Does Belichick realize it isn't the 1970s? You can't win games 9-6 in this league anymore.

They'll say they didn't think they were very strong players where they were available. I've heard that since forever. At least hopefully the era of youth taking over the core of the team instead of the post-Brady free agency patchwork that earned Dan Snyder all his SB rings is... hopefully... in the rearview.

Nope, I don't believe he does. Though if I were a Pats fan, I'd like the trading down to snag Gonzalez who I like as a player and he filled a need. It also screwed the Jets out of the last stud OL on the board. That being said, I don't see how the Pats score enough to seriously compete in their division, let alone conference.

Richardson, Stroud, and Levis all in the same division. Trevor Lawrence the elder statesman, though a few will clipboard it to start.

He’s drafting like he still has Tom Brady. Spending picks on offensive line talent and defensive overachievers. He doesn’t have Brady anymore. He has to start drafting talent in the so-called skill positions to make up for having a weaker quarterback.

Colts' draft ranked #1 in the prestigious For the Win Sports' draft class rankings: ftw.usatoday.com/lists/2023-nfl-draft-class-rankings-best-worst-49ers-cowboys-steelers-coltsOf course, all this "Winners and Losers" type stuff is stupid. Just a bunch of would-be draft gurus who spent weeks looking at the same mocks and vilifying teams for picking players above where they were "supposed" to go while droning on and on about "value." Who cares? We won't know who won or lost this draft for years - all this stuff is pointless. Yeah, I'm sure the Lions will be really upset about the opinions of the expert draftniks when their first-round RB becomes a HOFer.

Yeah, I'm sure the Lions will be really upset about the opinions of the expert draftniks when their first-round RB becomes a HOFer.They have gotten heavily ridiculed for their "reaches" and "values". I think they did very good because imo they got good players. Who gives a shit what rounds they're drafted in. I think its possibly smart to draft RBs first round. Get 5 years out of them and let them walk afterwards. You get that 5th year option on one and don't have to extend them. Hooker in the 3rd is really smart. He could be their future QB or not. No pressure on a 3rd round pick. One guy said that if the Lions took Branch and Hooker in round 1 and Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta on day 2 the draft would be looked at differently. That just goes to show how pointless it is. They got all those players, it shouldn't matter at what round or pick. They had a successful draft imo.
