Or a 24-hour period... That you think are great, of course.

11:14 (2003) dir: Greg Marcks Hardly great, but worth a look for its ingenious structure. Shows the goings-on of verious characters in a small town shortly before and after the stated time (at night, so would be better titled '23.14'). Until we finally grasp the whole picture.
12 (2007) dir: Nikita Mikhalkov Russian version of 12 Angry Men But has a different agenda. Instead of individuals' prejudices, apathy or other weaknesses, it targets the system.
Can I cheat by one hour? if so: 25th Hour (2002) dir: Spike Lee We watch Edward Norton as a convicted drug dealer, spending his last 25 hours of freedom before handing himself in to serve a 7-year sentence.
7 boxes (2012), a Paraguayan movie (is that a first for this board?) written and directed by Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schémbori. A young market porter is given a hundred bucks to wheel 7 boxes from A to B and gets in over his head. Good, but at 105 mins outstays its welcome.
After Hours (1985) dir: Martin Scorsese. My favourite Scorsese. Why did he not make more black comedies? A meek office worker spends a night exploring New York's often weird and sometimes sinister underbelly.
Albino Alligator (1996) dir: Kevin Spacey (one of only two films directed by him). A gang of crooks are besieged by police in a bar, then realise they are not who the police are after.
I guess a lot of siege/hostage movies would meet Mortsahlfan's criteria? I cannot remember if the following are contained within 24 hours: Dog Day Afternoon (1975) Sidney Lumet (edit: mattgarth says 'yes') The Desperate Hours (1955) dir: William Wyler

The Desperate Hours (1955) is a good one. Bogart's last. Wyler made some great movies. "The Collector" (spans over weeks I think)

Just recalled another --
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Actually, Bogie's last film was THE HARDER THEY FALL.

I'm trying to pick one for today before it gets too late, but you all have great tastes! (and I've seen them already).

Whoa, no mention of Rope or High Noon?
A lot of stage adaptations would qualify

I might be wrong but I think Manos: The Hands of Fate takes place in a 24 hour time period. I just ate so I can't watch to make sure
I'll ask Torgo. He takes care of the place while the Master is away
