Germany beat the US 113-111. We are out. Was I the only one that wasn't impressed with this roster? Get used to it, other countries play better team basketball than we do, and their players are motivated to win. These international tournaments don't mean much to our players. They needed a big. A healthy and motivated Zion.

These international tournaments don't mean much to our players. They needed a big. A healthy and motivated Zion. They need to send their best players to these tournaments, not Austin Reaves. I look at this roster and I ask who the alpha is. It's tricky to figure out everyone's role as we transition to positionless basketball, but to your point, they needed a big. And they need someone who isn't going to let them lose, now that the world is catching up. This article is hilarious. It's like if I was drunk and doing an impression of a MAGA basketball fan (I didn't realize those existed?). Though I have to say, I agree with this next passage 100%: But again, it should be noted that we didn't send our best possible roster-- which I suppose only illustrates his point further. Our best players can't be bothered with these international tournaments. Given the tenor of the rest of the article, I don't know if this guy is being sarcastic or serious with this last bit (or if he even exists at all, and isn't just AI).

"The NBA used to be the best league in the world. It was defined by hard work, grit, fundamentals, sneaky athleticism, and passion." I don't believe he ever thought that. And who does he credit for all of Notorious anti-American fraud Gregg Popovich's titles? Did he see the 70s and 80s cocaine freebasing NBA before Magic and Bird? With 8000 fans a night and fights breaking out every night? Everyone - probably him if he was around - saying the league was too black? He can have all that stuff except maybe the sneak athleticism - in women's basketball.

Β Β LOL! Yeah, Mr. MAGA basketball expert is absolutely hilarious! Steve Kerr owes his rings to MJ and Steph Curry? What about the ring he got with the Spurs? I guess he earned that one. LOL. And does that mean that every bench player who wins a ring owes it to the best starter on that championship team? The NBA has to fold to save USA basketball?!? Thatβs the most ridiculous thing that I ever heard. LOL! If the NBA folded all of those players would just play in another American basketball league with the same template as the NBA or they would play overseas. Neither situation would force or incentivize the best American players to always play USA basketball (FIFA/Olympics). Just when you thought talking heads couldnβt get any worse! LOL! But I also agree with his assessment of what the NBA used to be defined by and what the problem is with them being the talent pool for USA basketball. Iβd also add that it used to be that the best players took pride in basketball play outside of their league games. That just doesnβt happen any more.

When was the last time an NBA team allowed Dillon Brooks to score 39 points??β¦ But this mediocre team USA basketball squad did. That says a lot about the talent drop off of the USA team that was chosen.

Yeah, we are World Champions. At last!!! ...but wait, not football? What kind of joke is this. Trade WC in basketball for WC in football (girls or boys). The NBA champions (this or any other year prior) are not truly the world champions. Actually NFL/Superbowl champions are not even truly the world champs - even though the sport is predominantly (and almost exclusively) played in North America. Especially USA. No not even they are world champions. Do I have to even say it: World Series champs are not world champions. And NHL champs are not the world champions. The fact is that you canβt have a world champion in team sports because of the way itβs structured. The closest thing that youβre going to get to that is Olympics competition.

Lebron is putting together a team with KD, Steph, Draymond, AD, and Tatum for the 24 Olympics. Post its inevitable victory, the guys on IMDB1 will still insist this team isn't the best in the world. You have to win the "World Cup" to earn that title.

Less load management? NBA governors approve a new star rest policy, preventing "star players" (defined as anyone who made All-Star or All-NBA teams in the last three seasons) from being rested in national TV and in-season tournament games.
Yeah right. Teams will just ascribe some vague injury to their stars or just take whatever meager punishment comes, probably a fine.

I think Dame wants to be traded & Dame fans think Miami is the best fit for him & journalists are readying their why-Miami-won't-work-for-Dame pieces as we breathe.

Giannis and Lillard is a pretty damn good partnership, assuming Lillard sticks around.
