My guess, it was someone just having some fun with the graphics, but the term has (thankfully) gone out of style so nobody got the joke. Hell, George Carlin did a bit on the whole 'Happens to be black' thing like 30 years ago.

Some absolute moron picked USC to be a Final Four team. This Good Man clown ought to lay off the drugs. LBJ Jr is only averaging. They also have Dennis Rodman's kid who isn't doing much better. But USC snagged the #1 recruit in Isaiah Collier and one of the top transfers, Boogie Ellis. Both are averaging 16 a game. I thought they would do well in a weak PAC. Wrong
BTW, my other FF teams were Duke, Houston and Marquette.
Enfield's got to be on a short rope here. His wife will only hold off the boosters for so long. She doesn’t go to the games anymore! 😀

Both ESPN and CBS have Gonzaga as the last team in and in the #11 play in game. Zags are 22-6. Lost only two games in 2024. But no real big win (no bad loss either). Playing in the lousy West Coast Conference hurts.

Gonzaga played a brutal non-conference schedule. UConn, Purdue, San Diego State, Kentucky. Beating Saint Mary's would help their seed. St. Mary hasn't lost since December 23rd.

UConn win the regular season Big East title, 91-61 over Seton Hall. Avenges one of their three losses. Fuck, when they play like they did today, I'm not sure anyone can beat them. They still have Marquette on Wednesday in a game that means nothing to the Huskies but lots to the Eagles

That Marquette/Creighton game was close all game until about 4 minutes to go, feel like if Marquette had those guys they could have easily won. Not a great time for a team that has real Final Four aspirations to start having injuries creep up

Not a great time for a team that has real Final Four aspirations to start having injuries creep up Weird year for the Big East. A few weeks ago, there were seven BE teams projected to make the NCAA. Now it's 3-4. And the 4th is St. John's. The Redmen that Were are only 17-12, but ranked 39th at NCAA NET, ahead of Texas Tech, Nebraska and South Carolina. Only one bad loss, to Michigan, and a huge thumping of Marquette. And their last tow games are DePaul and Georgetown. Villanova is 17-12 with wins over UNC and Creighton, but those losses to the Big 5. Losing to St. Joe, Drexel and a godawful Penn team will hurt next Sunday. Seton Hall had beaten UConn and Marquette but been slaughtered in their last two games. Butler and Seton Hall are ranked #67 and #68 at NET, below my beloved St. Bonaventure, who I do not think should make the NCAA.
The last week should be interesting. I think Tennessee has taken the 4th #1 seed from Arizona but they have South Carolina and Kentucky left. Arizona is ranked #4 but the PAC is so lousy. The next team in the NET is Colorado at #30. Washington State is #37 and that it for the PAC. Oregon in in the 60's and barely showed up against Arizona
And Tyler Kolek will sit for Marquette's last two regular season games and be reevaluated. It will hurt, missing UConn on Wednesday, but it gives him 10 days off

Their backcourt, Trey Alexander and especially Baylor Scheierman, is as good as any in the country. They were one point away from the Final Four last year

I'm not as high on Creighton as everyone else is. I'll admit, they can be dangerous when their 3's are falling. I was not very impressed in their game this weekend against Marquette though - the final score did not show how close that game was with Marquette missing their 2 best players.

Every time I've watched them, they have looked good. I really like Baylor Scheierman, he seems to shine at the right moments. I would put him in my top three players of the year with Tennessee's Dalton Knecht and that tall kid from Purdue, what's his name...

I can't believe that Knecht played for Northern Colorado. How did he go unnoticed? I'm rooting for Tennessee. I've liked Rick Barnes from his Providence days. He's going to have a Lefty Dreisel legacy if he doesn't break through here very soon.

He had a Final Four team with Texas in 2003 but lost to Syracuse and Carmelo. Barnes had Tennessee up to #1 in the polls in 2019 but lost in the Sweet 16 to some cow college in Indiana. The Vols have a rich tradition but never a #1 seed.

Zach Edey Soon to be the first back-to-back player of the year since Ralph Sampson did it 3 years around from 1980-1983 Every time I've watched them, they have looked good. He's going to have a Lefty Dreisel legacy if he doesn't break through here very soon. Some of the transfers have been wild. It's insane for me to think that Lance Jones and Markus Domask both played for Southern Illinois last year - who both are major pieces on the 2 best Big Ten teams this year - and that SIU team was .500 in the Missouri Valley conference. There are a lot of really good players at small schools, and the portal is making that very evident. I can't believe that Knecht played for Northern Colorado. How did he go unnoticed? I just learned the other day Tennessee has never made a Final Four, and has only made 1 elite 8! Would have never guessed, as they have always been a pretty elite program my entire life.

I forgot about that Texas team - - so that already puts him ahead of Lefty. He's had some Vols teams over the years that seem to hit a wall and can't get over it. I like their style of play.

I just learned the other day Tennessee has never made a Final Four, and has only made 1 elite 8! Would have never guessed, as they have always been a pretty elite program my entire life. I remember Ralph Sampson. I always thought he was overrated. He was 7'4" but skinny. He feasted on teams with no big man but got schooled by smaller but more physical big men like Sam Perkins and Lorenzo Charles. Some writer labelled him "a guard in a center's body" and they were right.
Tennessee, like LSU, was frozen out of the NCAA for many years by the "one team per conference" rule. And that one team was always Kentucky. Really good in the 70's with Bernard King and Ernie Grunfeld. It still amazes me that the NCAA took until 1974 to allow at large bids to non conference winners. In 1971, USC only lost two games, 25-2. But those two games were to UCLA so they never made the NCAA. Idiotic
