Gee, why doesn't God give us all the mountains but take away all the valleys???
Think about your question for a moment.
Your question assumes there is a God, you're asking 'Why doesn't He stop suffering?'
Well, if 'God' exists then any suffering here is only temporary in nature, since the existence of God generally includes the existence of some kind of afterlife.
You might as well ask 'Why does God let anyone get afraid on a roller-coaster'?
Next to eternity, the worst suffering here only lasts for fractions of a second (comparatively).

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Because it is simply a part of the universe as it is set up, any deeper questioning would be why does an infinite entity do the things it does and why can I as a finite entity not be privy to that information.

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Why don't people intervene? Why do people allow suffering?

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Why don't people intervene? Why do people allow suffering? Because people aren't gods. 😉

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Why don't people intervene? Why do people allow suffering? Because people are generally selfish *ssholes who don't give a sh*t about nameless foreigners! What's "God's" excuse?

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Why don't people intervene? Why do people allow suffering? Because people are part of God's creation and part of the problem. As we're part of the design, it cannot be incumbent upon us to fix the design of the entity which created us. Especially as our nature guarantees that we will suffer, because it's an evolutionary survival mechanism.

It's not like what he's saying is even entirely true, there's tons of charities and humanitarian organizations out there. Blade obviously isn't sharpest knife in the draw (no pun intended), but now I'm starting to suspect he's had a severe brain hemorrhage.

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? He's too busy helping professional sports stars to have a good game.

Why doesn't He intercede to help starving people and whatnot? Why don't people intervene? Why do people allow suffering? People do attempt to prevent suffering. But people are limited in their power to prevent suffering. And of course, people are limited in their benevolence and thus their desire to prevent suffering. And people are limited in their presence, and cannot be everywhere to prevent all suffering. And even in their knowledge of the suffering to be prevented. Is this also true of the god you believe in?

My hostility isn't towards the make believe entity, but towards the people who you compared it to (many of whom act in the mythical entity's name). Why so much deflection from the question?

Then why are you hostile toward people? Could this guy be any stupider? As sad and unbelievable as it seems, the answer is yes. He soon will be. Just as soon as you think he's hit absolute bottom in stupidity, he outstupids himself.

Then why are you hostile toward people? Because I don't believe they deserve anything less. The only thing necessary for evil to prosper is for good men to stand by and do nothing.
