That's a nice Christian example that you're setting. Twice now, I asked you what sort of new perspective are you looking for (from either side) after 6000+ years. No real answer, yet you talk about other people's reading ability. You don't seem to like the "mean things" people say about religion, so you cry, "Give me something new!" Sorry, but if you can't understand why the stories in the Bible are ridiculous, there's nothing new that anyone can say to help you understand. You truly are trolling now and the food supply has stopped. I'm looking for a new perspective from you shit for brains. Now you have two choices: you either give me a new perspective or you go on ignore.  it's up to you, I dont care either way. AGAIN...what am I desperate about? answer that question. From a theological perspective: Because creation isn't about us. It's about God. We exist for God's pleasure, not the other way around. Our suffering is neither here nor there. Why does an author of a novel allow his characters to suffer? Because that's what he wants to happen to them. The more prosaic reason: because there is no higher power which looks over us. You just make God sound like a total prick now :/ From our perspective, why wouldn't he be? What are we to God, but lower life forms by comparison? A person could be as sweet as sweet can be towards other people, and that will not matter the slightest bit to the fish he eats. To those fish, he is a monster. |

I have a few different thoughts about why God allows suffering, 1: Since God has given us free will, he also allows us to experience the consequences when we make bad decisions; 2: In the bible it says we will have trials and tribulations. So, the suffering is just a part of life. We will have trials and tribulations, but God will deliver us from them all. Sometimes physical death occurs, but our souls are still delivered. 3. If bad things did not happen, we could never truly appreciate the good things that happen too. There would not be anything to contrast them against. WHY?  ??  Why give us free will IF it leads to disastrous consequences (which he has already supposedly foreseen? Why would he allow THAT? Why does suffering need to be part of life? Why is it impossible to appreciate "good things" without experiencing bad things? Angels have free will too, and two thirds of them never sinned and therefore never experienced anything bad. So why was it necessary to create humans in a way that prevents us from appreciating anything good without experiencing something bad? Why wouldn't he have created us like the angels in that respect? |
