2 different super teams.
Lebron created a super team to beat super team Boston and Kobe/Pau/Bynum.
He thought he was creating an even better one in Cleveland.
If he sees a chance to create a third one, you best believe he will do that.

The Jordan to Lebron convo is done. It's over after tonight.
They have to trade Love, I keep hearing Love for George, which might work, as long as they keep Thompson. Kyrie/George/Lebron, could be nice. Love I think would be okay in Indiana.
3-5....yea, that's not good.
Swept by the Spurs, and fine, he was a baby.
He lost to....Dallas!? How, why and what!?
Lost to the Warriors now twice and Spurs again.
He beat a baby OKC, Warriors (Most impressive), and the Spurs. Ray Allen saved his legacy with that clutch 3.

The Jordan to Lebron convo is done. It's over after tonight. It never started, at least IMO. I've always considered Jordan better than LeBron. Swept by the Spurs, and fine, he was a baby. He lost to....Dallas!? How, why and what!? Lost to the Warriors now twice and Spurs again. The 2 losses to the Spurs and 2 losses to the Warriors are excusable because the Spurs and Warriors had better teams and were the favorites. The loss to the Mavs is just inexcusable because the Heat was supposed to be the better team and was the favorite over the Mavs. Neither LeBron nor any other athlete in any sport can claim they're the best in their sport when they lose the championship to an inferior team. Jordan would never lose the NBA Finals to an inferior team.

LMAO, what, the "old" Spurs? That team everyone wrote off every year, now it is "excusable." Jordan, 6-0, Lebron, 3-5. No excuse, none. He has Kyrie and Love, he had Wade and Bosh.
His first loss to the Spurs, sure, np, Ill take it out.
Lost to the Mavs, a joke.
He had the talent to beat both GSW and Spurs. In the end, the convo is over. He isnt as good as Jordan, nor was he ever.

Why is it over? Is LeBron retiring? For the sake of argument, let's say he goes to the Finals another 5 seasons and goes 4-1. He'd have 7 championships and 6 finals losses. One more championship than Jordan. That's not an impressive resume? It's just a what if, and I'd vote Jordan every time, I'm just saying LeBron's career isn't over so the conversation can't be over. I'd also like to point out Jordan never faced another super team in any of his championship years. He beat an aging Lakers squad that would never be heard from again, and then it was the flavor of the month (very good teams by the way, but they never had sustained periods of excellence) until the Jazz somehow repeated as west champs. Name the other great player on the Jazz besides Malone and Stockton. Meanwhile two of LeBron's championships have come against teams that have also won multiple championships. That's an impressive stat, there's no way around it. Jordan has the rings on his resume but to me it was his work ethic and borderline psychotic will to win that sets him apart from everyone else. I don't hold it against LeBron for having fewer championships, I only question his desire compared to Jordan. As I said, Jordan gets my vote every time; I just don't think it's as laughable a question as it once was. An intriguing question: if NBA GMs could build around either of these guys in their prime, who do they choose?

GSW fans online saying being up 3-1 to win redeems up 3-1 & losing.
No.

GSW fans online saying being up 3-1 to win redeems up 3-1 & losing. No. I don't know if redemption is the right word. But it fills that hole in your sporting heart that comes with losing a title matchup. A win doesn't erase the past, but it does make previous losses irrelevant. It's odd when some of the members on this board still bring up the Patriots going 18-1. They've won two Super Bowls (including the greatest SB comeback of all time) since then. It would be like Yankee fans still trying to taunt Red Sox fans with '1918' chants, it makes no sense. Warriors fans, like Patriots fans, have to live with having the best regular season team not to win a title; but it's easier to shrug off with each subsequent title your team accumulates. I say congratulations to the Warriors and their fans, enjoy it to the fullest.

It's over and they responded by winning it all this year. I have a feeling we will see the same 2 teams for the 4th straight time next year as well.

Impressive, sure, if he went 4-1, he'd in the end, be 7-6. That's if he goes 4-1. I can see him going 3-2, I cant see 4-1, but yea, nothing is impossible. It's impressive, but that would mean it took him 13 finals to nab one more ring > Jordan. Jordan, 6 finals, 6 cashes. I just feel it's over. The Jordan to Lebron convo.
I also would vote Jordan every time, but Lebrons finals record is just.....awful. Teams back then didnt really do what NBA players are now. You wanted a super team? Better draft it. Malone and Stockton were good, I also highly respect Jeff H too. Jazz didnt win multiple titles, these "Flavor of the month" teams didnt win titles because Jordan just said no. Those teams who won multiple titles...won them against....yup, Lebron. Lebron could easily be 2-6 or even 1-7, but yea, ifs and buts. I just am not sure how we can compare 6-0 to 3-5. 5-3 or 6-2, sure.
I always felt it was laughable to ME, but I get it man. If GMs could build around one of those guys...man. I think it def go 1-2, no doubt. Lebron is a monster, but I just dont think he is as clutch as Jordan was. It's hard for me to compare these two, but I respect where youre coming from.

Jordan is my favorite player of all time, but you can make an argument to build around LeBron. He doesn't have Jordan's clutch factor or killer instinct, but he doesn't have to. You can surround him with mediocre talent and get to a conference finals or even a Finals. His game is more versatile than MJ's, it just makes it easier to fill in the blanks with the rest of your roster.
