Finished the clone wars the other day which got really really good in season 4 (although that Colonel Snail dude in season 5 was a crime against humanity) and this pails in comparison. I've only watched 6 episodes so far but it feels heavily censored Rebels gets better as it goes along. I think the pilot/movie and the episodes you referenced are some its weakest material.

Yeah, stick with it if you can and are a bigtime Star Wars fan. If you don't like it by the end of season two, I guess give up. Although I can't imagine personally sitting through two full seasons of a show I'm not enjoying, so that prolly won't be an issue for you.

I think the show is horrible and utterly childish and geared for children ages 6 and under. I fail to understand how any adult watch this silly cartoon.

The Rebels cartoon recently showed nightsister force ghosts possessing the bodies of a couple of our cartoon heroes. I thought this was an interesting development which I hadn't seen before - could this be a possibility for Mr Snoke? i.e. could there be a dark side spirit inhabiting the body we see. No. Snoke is the mysterious character known as "The Midichlorian Count" He has been working behind the scenes, feverishly counting midichlorians, for decades...

Can I learn the story of "The Midichlorian Count" ? Not from a Jedi...haha, good form. "Not from a prequel hater..." "The Tragedy of The Midichlorian Count is a Sith legend. He was so powerful, and so good at counting, he could use the Force to count the midichlorians in any amount, and even count without taking his shoes off. He became so good at counting, the only thing that he was afraid of was losing his ability to count. His apprentice, Count Von Count, killed him in his sleep, exclaiming loudly "One! One dead Sith Lord! Ah ha ha ha!"

No , I doubt it's Face_Palm/Kylo_Ren because the OP referred to Rebels as the ANIMATED series and acknowledges that it's just an animated series.
If Face_Palm/Kylo_Ren wrote the OP, he would have referred to it as the HUGELY HIGHLY ACCLAIMED TV series that is more canon and significant than the actual film saga itself.
Sometimes it is more significant than the actual film saga.

If anything, Rebels contradicts characters and major events from the film series.

How? Most of the so-called contradictions I've heard of are just personal perception issues and not contradictions at all.

How? Most of the so-called contradictions I've heard of are just personal perception issues and not contradictions at all. * The opening crawl on A New Hope clearly states that the Rebellion scored their FIRST victory against the Empire that battle was seen during the climax of Rogue One... but yet this so called canon cartoon has Rebels winning battles every other episode.
* A pre New Hope/ Cloud City Lando joining and aiding the Rebellion.
* High ranking dark side of the Force using inquisitors with in the Empire in spite of the Sith's rule of the two and Tarkin clearly saying to Vader in A New Hope that the Jedi and the force has been LONG since extinguish and Vader being all that's left of "that religion".
* Jedi knights fighting for the Rebellion during A New Hope era. Obi Wan clearly states the Jedi is ALL BEEN extinct but a recent episode had old Ben meeting Ezra? Also no matter how contradicting having all kinds of Jedi in Rebels, it also minimizes Luke's importance during the Original Trilogy.
That's just to list a few.
