What a mess! Bickering and power struggles. Camera setups with limited shot angles more appropriate for a TV show. A script writer who forbids line improvisation and 2 directors who are overly liberal with it. A hammy, wisecracking Han Solo characterization that borders on Jim Carrey zaniness. And acting lessons for the guy who plays him after most of the film has already been shot. Disney and K. Kennedy brought this on themselves however. They hired Lord and Miller with the agenda of appeasing certain demographics, using certain "corporate" formulas, and fitting it to Kasdan's script. It's their continual and premeditated effort to "Disneyfy" Star Wars by forcing their own entertainment formulas and archetypes onto the franchise. Now this is 3 movies out of 4 where it's damaged the production, and also necessitated major offscreen personnel changes and/or extensive reshoots. And frankly probably lowered the quality of the final product.
