i'm looking forward to this. It looks awesome. I just hope I can look past Emma as Hermione.
I have a hard time doing that with some actors and actresses.
When I watched the Ice age series, I couldn't get past all the recognizable voices

I was on the fence about this movie until the Golden Globes ad came out that gave us our first listen as far as Belle's singing voice. Now I am actively refusing to see this one. Auto-tune has no place in a musical. Either use her natural voice, or dub her over with a better singer. lol. I have a few issues with the movie myself as well. For one I'm still not crazy about Emma Watson playing Belle. I think they should of gotten someone with a french accent or at LEAST someone who could sing. I'm still going to see it, probably on day one because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie of all time. We'll see how it goes.

So, Gerard Horan plays Jean the Potter in the new clip, which can be confirmed on his online CV. However, IMDb credits him as Mr. Potts. Also, in the behind the scenes clipped recently released, he can be seen in a picture featuring the enchanted objects in human form, which would back up his IMDb credit.
Now, Mr. Potts and Jean the Potter are rather similar names, so they might be the same character. Also, Jean says he forgot something in the clip. Perhaps, a wife and a child who he finds during the attack on the castle later on the film?
Well, I guess we'll see when the film is released.

Honestly, from all he previews I'm hating the Beast's face at some angles. He looks like a goat! I am still excited and I think it will be a great film.

I'm kinda interested. I do like Emma Watson and the trailer looked good. But I'm not a huge fan of the animated version (which I'd rate 8/10) and found Gaston to be a poor villain, so I'll reserve my judgement for now.

Ditto! Oh and the transformation, I'm a sucker for happy endings. I'm curious if it will be as magical (probably even more magical!) as the animated film. I'm also looking forward to learning more about that magical book. I ordered the novelization and the 'Lost in a book' novel so I'm very interested to know how that all works out. I'll probably spoil a lot for myself, but I won't be able to see the movie until April, and I just can't wait that long lol. Oh! I forgot about the transformation scene! It will be fantastic I'm sure! I can't wait until March. I'm very much anticipating the soundtrack! From the stuff we've heard so far I'm happy, but I think it's heavily edited for the trailers I'm hoping it doesn't sound as auto tuney for the actual movie. Same here! I cannot wait for the soundtrack to be released. I'm especially looking forward to the new songs, like Evermore. Having seen the newest clips of Belle and Gaston, I'm quite reassured that it'll work out just fine Bewaren

Emma Watson was born to play Belle. And she's a lucky girl. I can imagine most actresses secretly wishing they could've played the part. One thing is for certain. It's going to make a ton of money. She isn't anywhere near born to play Belle. She looks too young, is not a good actress and can't sing. I doubt she can dance. There is an actress who was born to play Belle in every way and her name is Laura Osnes. She would have been the perfect choice.

Perhaps, a wife and a child who he finds during the attack on the castle later on the film? Well, I guess we'll see when the film is released. The Enchantress that cursed the Beast also cursed the entire village so that none of them remembered anything about the castle (which makes more sense than in the animated version, where they just happen to not know anything about it). Jean is Mrs. Potts' husband, but because he wasn't in the castle when it was cursed, he doesn't remember anything about it, including his wife and child. At the end, when the spell is broken, everyone regains their memories, and Jean is reunited with his wife.

Well, I guess it shows the benefits of knowing your British character actors!

I'm really psyched for this film! The animated version is one of my favorites.

So apparently they've now made Lefou gay and there's some "warming gay exclusive scene" in the movie.
I was really excited for this movie but that's brought it all the way back down for me. I had a feeling that they were going to shove some PC nonsense on us with this I just knew it. Apparently they've also now made Belle a bit more of a feminist by making her more than just a book reader, she's also an inventor now too.
Yeah that's killed it for me, shame.
