I like some by the Spice Girls and Bewitched. I like YMCA and Macho Man by the village people. Give it up and that's the way I like it by KC and the Sunshine Band.

That scene is such the truth as to how "bad" songs get lodged in your brain and end up becoming favorites.

I am not embarrassed to admit I like anything, but The Final Countdown and Eye of the Tiger are both in my top 10. I also like Air Supply songs. Should that be embarrassing? Maybe. But I can admit it. I can do a lot of things. I can make the runner stumble. I can make the final block. And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle, I can make all the stadiums rock. I can make tonight forever. Or I can make it disappear by the dawn. And I can make you every promise that has ever been made and I can make all your demons be gone. But I'm never gonna make it without you. Do you really wanna see me crawl? And I'm never gonna make it like you do; makin' love out of nothin' at all.

I guess all of us here can't be too embarrassed especially if we are admitting what silly fun songs we really like on a public forum here also .

Could It Be Magic - Barry Manilow Barry Manilow - Could It Be Magic (original 1973 album version, unreleased on CD)Excellent choice here Dramatic Look Gopher . I really liked the piano intro and alike ending to this one also - very relaxing . IMPO - Barry Manilow has a unique work that is very deep - the musical part of his songs can sound and seem to be relaxing or upbeat but the lyrics can be heartbreaking or tragic at the same time too quite the versatile yet very underrated musical artist for his time - then and now as well . Thanks so much for sharing this one with us here too .

Whitney Houston - So Emotional It's got a great big hook with a great big voice behind it. No shame there.

Okay, let's not take the subject literally. It just means a song that's widely disliked that you happen to like for one reason or another. Me? Sugar, Sugar β The Archies Hey, Mickey β Toni Basil The problem is that I don't keep track of what's widely disliked or considered uncool or anything like that. So I don't know.

Wow new kids on the block. I respected you so much before I read this post too. j/k I have worse than that on my list I bet I love a lot of boy band (and girl band, for that matter) stuff, but I don't know New Kids on the Block very well. For one, I love most soul/R&B/funk etc., as well as disco and a lot of other dance music. So Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, the Supremes, Jackson 5/Jacksons, Spinners, Four Tops, Pointer Sisters, etc. etc.--I absolutely love all of that stuff. And then I also dig Destiny's Child, New Edition, Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, All Saints, B*Witched, etc. It's just that some groups I'm not very familiar with, and New Kids on the Block is one of them. I also don't know the Spice Girls very well, or One Direction. I wouldn't doubt that I'd like any or all of them. In recent years--the last few decades more or less, I typically become familiar with artists by personally diving into their discographies, and I haven't gotten around to it with New Kids, One Direction, or Spice Girls yet.
