I'm only talking the 4 important ones here of course. Football, Hockey, Basketball and Baseball. In terms of difficulty I go: 1) Baseball 2) Hockey 3) Basketball 4) Football Thoughts? Discuss.

Golf
- sorry i don't even now what the other sports are - I know football is the worlds fav game - but its pretty easy to start of with - you just kick a ball about, hockey is kind of hard and whacking a hard ball in the cold can be brutal -baseball - that is that weapon swinging game right?, I like basketball - played it loads as a kid. Not to hard to start of with though.
Back to golf
you have to put in a good hundred plus hours on the range, practising short game and out on the course(course management) before even getting to a standard of gaining a handicap and playing in competitive medals/stable-fords.

Of those 4, Baseball batting is probably the hardest. Yeah then what you said OP.But sports like Golf, Sailing, gymnastics, diving etc are much harder.

In terms of "I've never ever played a second of sport ever before" - it's easily hockey. Football, Basketball and Baseball all require running. Hockey requires skating.

Hockey requires skating. yeah. i blow at skating. which is why i sucked at hockey too. that being said - i grew up with some 'peter pans' who picked it up quite quickly. a skill? yes. not so sure they can hit a 95 mph fastball followed up with a curve and a change up. no disrespect meant......

skating isn't that hard once you learn how to do it. if you grew up doing it, it's second nature. i went from not ever been skating before to pretty good in like an hour as a 9 year old

Yeah (my open secret - I like baseball ) - and although it doesn't t require the finess and shot selection of cricket it isn't just luck - and I love the stats.. But its tough to watch a game due to the adds and stopping time. Cricket can take ages - but its almost non stop sport.
Golf - well - its about playing from a young age - getting everyday playing with mates in the summer , you progress at such a rate that is impossible at an older age unless you are living of someone or very rich..... I think if you can play sport and the sports you talk about you could eventually play golf ok. But it does require a lot of patience and mental confidence and trained ability.
I do skate but not well - i used to skate as a kid in streatham(south london)- But I was talking about field hockey anyway as a wum ... We used to play that at school - brutal game.. I loved it actually.

Almost completely fucking backwards. Have any of you fatties ever played a sport? I thought your post was dumb, but leave it to HairyBallSacks to make a dumber one halfway down.

Who was the retard that clamored about surfing being the hardest sport ever???
Bunch of burnouts, whose brains don't need to function, make it the easiest to master.

Formula One Racing -- physical skills ( including reckoning with G-Force), mental strength, stamina, guts!
Tennis ( competitive) -- physical skills, mental strength, stamina ( especially for 5-setter matches)!
I am just a spectator for these sports but watching them is compelling!

The hardest sport to master in my opinion is road racing. Some that don't master it die, the isle of man and northwest races can be brutal.
F1, MotoGP, Superbikes and Rallying i'd put before any ball sports.
