The funny thing there's a very real possibility that this ends up being the highest grossing superhero movie of the year.
It might not but it definitely could. It's already passed Logan, it will pass Wonder Woman, Thor won't make this much......dunno about Guardians of the Galaxy and Justice League could go either way.

I wouldn't say SH flopped, but it has definitely been a disappointment, like in the same way as BvS and Suicide Squad.

I think there is a good chance that Thor will surprise us. I think it will make more than people predict. I'm guessing close to 800 million.

I'm sure the new Thor will be the most successful one so far but I'd be very surprised if it made as much as what Spider-man will finish with.

Batman vs Superman was definite disappointment at the box office but Suicide Squad was a lot more successful than people thought it was going to be. Spider-man is doing just fine, neither a disappointment nor a surprise hit and it ain't nearly finished yet.

Great film, great reviews, it's way outgrossed WW, and it's about to be the highest grossing Spiderman film of all time. Where do you get disappointment from? Are you just trolling? I have no idea why people make comments like you do.

Less than $10m isn't way outdoing anything in regards to blockbusters, imo you cant make a just claim to that unless you outdo a film by around 15-20% which imo means Spider-Man would need to do near a billion which it wont do.
Laughable to think anyone though Homecoming was flopping though sure maybe it wasn't the hit some were predicting it to be about a year ago then again I don think any of this years comicbook films have matched up to a lot of peoples expectations with some underperforming to varying degree's and others doing far better.
But regardless of all that in the end no CBM has failed to make a lot of money for their studios, which means there is little to no incentive being bred this year to stop making them which makes me very happy, and I hope JL & Thor 3 continue this trend.

You realize it's going to be way more than 10 million right? Spidey is going to get near 900 and yeah that's significantly outdoing WW.
I agree that every film has been a big success, so I'm not really sure what films you thought underperformed. All of them did really well as far as I can tell.

So yeah I know it'll do more than $10m more but it's also not yet washed out Wonder Woman yet, plus people keep overstating things and it bugs me, like if a film makes a little more than another you see people proclaiming film A demolished film B at the box office when it it's like uh no it didn't it beat it but barely.
As for underperforming I meant by what people like on the old IMDB board and the like were thinking movies would do, like Spider-Man & GOTG2 had a lot of people predicting them to make around a billion, so even at $850-900m they disappointed with what fans were expecting them to do.
Like I said though I'm just glad we haven't had any failures, because if we do that's when you will see shit start to slow down, and I personally love having all these cmb's to enjoy, hell even if I don't love the films themselves I'm glad we get them for those who do.

1st, studios keep more of the domestic grosses than foreign grosses so that $7 million difference in worldwide box office is really a lot less since Marvel keeps much less of that than domestic grosses, where Wonder Woman has outperformed SMH by about $83 million.
2nd, Wonder Woman cost $26 million less to make than SMH so that more than wipes out the $7 million difference in worldwide box office that SMH has.
So in the end, Wonder Woman is still the most successful CBM of 2017, not just financially but also for the lasting impact that it'll have - i.e. opening the door for more female-led superhero movies as well as creating more opportunities for female Directors (Patty Jenkins will be the highest-paid female Director in history for Wonder Woman II). And on top of that, Wonder Woman also has a good chance to be the first CBM to receive a Best Picture Oscar nomination.

When you are reduced to guessing about what's on the balance sheet, you've lost the argument.
The simple fact is Spiderman Homecoming not only beat out Wonder Women on the Tomato-meter but it also beat it at the box office.
Furiously spinning won't change that.

Dude, nobody aside from you gives a shit how much money the movie company makes. It is all about butts on seats and the bottom line is - more people paid to see Spider-Man: Homecoming than Wonder Woman. SMH is the more popular of the two movies.

Dude, nobody aside from you gives a shit how much money the movie company makes. MCU Dictator Kevin Feige cares. That's why MCU not only put a TV show ( Inhumans) in theaters but also made people pay IMAX money to see the TV show in theaters. And that's also why (unlike WB, which gave Patty Jenkins a huge raise after Wonder Woman), Feige refused to give Terence Howard a raise after Iron Man. It is all about butts on seats and the bottom line is - more people paid to see Spider-Man: Homecoming than Wonder Woman. SMH is the more popular of the two movies. Correction to your statements: More anti-Semitic people paid to see SMH than Wonder Woman. SMH is more popular among anti-Semitic viewers. In fact, considering that Wonder Woman is still within $7 million worldwide despite Wonder Woman costing $26 million less than SMH to make and despite Wonder Woman being banned in several anti-Semitic countries, it's pretty clear that Wonder Woman is much more financially successful than SMH and much more popular than SMH among viewers who aren't anti-Semitic.

Ike Perlmutter is behind what happened with Inhumans. As for Howard, he was getting plenty of money to begin with. As for WW, the artificial boosters are what's causing its' success.

Here come the lame excuses! A few tiny Arab countries (that make up a fraction of a percent of the SMH gross) boycott WW and DC-fanboy thinks that makes all the difference in the world. When he's not clutching his pearls, he's clutching at straws.
