Fantastic Four, because I'm so sick of the X-Men, I doubt I would even go a Marvel Studios made X-Men Film.

THat would be very easy to go, actually. All they'd have to do is say "The incident with the Infinity Stones changed everything" and tada! I might go see one... provided they gave us the Juggernaut, the REAL Juggernaut. Not that weaksauce Juggernaut from X-Men 3.

Under these terms, you're (they're) not bound to anything from the Fox flicks. They can do it however you want. Does that change your original answer? I feel like the X-Men at their absolute best are WAY more interesting than FF, but that's just me.

Neither. I like the X-Men and Fantastic Four. MCU makes crappy movies and would mess them up.

You bastard! Er. I mean: why's that? They just seem to fit better, in both tone and style. The X-Men seem to be much more serious. Bastard!

Chances are, if it looked like a film version of X-Men: Evolution, I might go see it. So my answer at the moment is a might. An MCU FF film is still a guarantee, though.

What I really want to know is, why wasn't this guy a choice?

Fantastic Four, because I'm so sick of the X-Men, I doubt I would even go a Marvel Studios made X-Men Film. WHY because the great x-men films does a good job in exposing how stupid, shallow and medicore the mcu movies are? how predictable for the average mcu fan lunatic that never cared about marvel until the mcu came along. ask me again why true marvel fans and mcu fans will never get along where it counts.

Neither.
The good X-Men movies are far better than the mcu movies. mcu already struggled with topping the older spiderman movies, I doubt they will get near the likes of X2, DOFP and Logan. and please x-men becoming light and fun and filled with jokes + crappy villains wont suit x-men. x-men is meant to be grounded, serious and using comics to tackle real human issues.
As for F4, it is possible for any studio to make a good movie out of this series but it must be down in good faith and less ignorance.

For the current direction of the MCU, the FF and their associated properties would fit perfectly. Their inclusion would enrich rather than muddle. They represent a team of enhanced people that are lauded whereas the x-men typically lean toward the threat their powers and presence bring to society. There is a bit of that happening with the avengers, but it's a more mixed discussion and not the clear focus of everything. In the next phase, the X-Men could flourish if they start a new saga, but I think they would be too much to intertwine at this point in the current story. This 3-phase arc has been about new wonders entering the world and making the mere presence of the avengers (whose numbers are relatively small and whose origins are diverse, not a whole new species) a big deal as well as the threats they carry with them. This idea is inherent to the x-men, but the two entities are separate and one would take away from the other introducing them simultaneously. Like once the avengers are fully established and save the earth in the grandest of ways, then these other enhanced beings pop up and expose themselves in greater and greater numbers, way beyond the small fries of these first stories. That'd be cool.

X-Men, easy enough. That might work well with the next fase of Marvel, once the current actors move on to other jobs. Add some mutants, there are tons of beautiful stories to be told.
To see the Onslaught crossover series as a movie series would be grand.

The Fantastic Four. It's past time to give those characters the cinematic justice they deserve. Plus, I would love to see Doctor Doom and Galactus in the same universe as Iron Man, Thor, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Fantastic Four. Fox tried 4 times already, let Marvel Studious take a shot at it.
