I kind of like the DCEU costumes a bit more, there's a combination of "pulled straight from the comics" and re-imagining that i've enjoyed so far, for example Batfleck's BvS suit, it felt like they took it right out of TDKR, but The Flash suit feels quite different from what I've seen over the years, and I'm down for a new twist, not saying because it's different that it will work (like Routh's Superman Returns suit), but change it up. also like the fabric materials they've been using in the DCEU. Good points. Superman's, Batman's and Wonder Woman's suits are all nicely done. Staying true enough to the comics but giving it a more modern twist plus using higher quality materials. Aquaman's has the same features but I just feel like it looks too bulky and heavy. personally, again, i don't see how Aquaman's armor is going to be heavy.......he has super strength.

He's also got a hide that can take a beating from Superman. Armor is kind of redundant for him.

Because it's not aquadynamic. And considering his entire race lives under water, you'd assume they'd be able to design more aquadynamic suits. Saying he's superstrong so he can cary a heavy suit is like saying Superman doesn't need big muscles because his strength is not defined by his muscles. In the end, appearances still matter.

We're talking about fantastical beings, I mean what logic is behind Iron Man's suit? Because we can apply out own logic to things if we choose to, perhaps the suit is made from a special Atlantis based material which is flexible and may look cumbersome but isn't, maybe it has a more regal meaning? Idk.

The MCU; most of the characters look like they just leaped off the pages of a comic book like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange. The DCEU re-imagines their characters, which looks good on some characters like Batman and Harley Quinn, but Superman's darker blue suit and ditching the red underwear on the outside and giving the Joker tattoos was just terrible. I do like the DCEU Batman suit a lot, it's nice to see a grey and black Batman rather than all black Batman like in Burton/Schumacher/Nolan films, like in the Batman Arkham video games.

Idk. Yes, and it might be possible that his armor does have some good explanation behind it. But until that time all we have to base it on are looks, and it looks cumbersome and non-aquadynamic.

I don't know man. Captain America's, Vision's, Antman's, Hawkeye's and Thor's looks have all been reimagined too to fit their cinematic universe. And the MCU female costumes are very much unlike their comic counterparts aside from Black Widow.

I do like Cap's new look, ditching those silly wings on his helmet to just having them painted on his helmet, but they got everything else right. Vision looks okay, I'll give you vision. I do like Ant-Man's new look. They got his colors right, and his antennas aren't sticking out of his head. I like his new mask better. Hawkeye in the MCU looks more similar to this Hawkeye: And Thor's costume looks right, the red cape and everything, minus his helmet, but he'll wear it in Thor: Ragnarok.

Gotta give it to the MCU. While most of the DCEU costumes look better quality in terms of material, the MCU ones come across as more believable and practical in their universe, and also have a feel as if they've been battle worn over time.

I have a question about Superman's costume in the DCEU. Isn't it mostly CGI like the Green Lantern movie costume was? It certainly looks like it most of the time. That's not a good or bad thing I'm just curious. Also, Iron Man's costume is CGI for the most part and it works fine.

Well, this just got rendered moot, since there won't be a DCEU at all pretty soon.

You'll see.
