Wrong again. Boy, you've just struck out so many times you'd have been benched by now.

She's key to understanding just how corrupt the system that created Weapon X truly is. That makes her a part of his past even if they never met prior to him becoming Wolverine.
It would have been so easy for LD working with Striker for her own reasons. In fact, the whole brain-washing mutants thing was just asinine at best. Lady Deathstryke isn't even a mutant, but she can easily be mistaken for one, and that's the crux of it right there. Stryker could easily have creating superhumans by artificial methods to frame mutants in a negative light. Instead, they went the easy route and just made everyone working for him an empty vessel to be mowed down. People can whine about the MCU's villains all they want, but they ALL always have a motive, even the grunts.

LD also starts out being under the mistaken impression that Wolverine was also at fault in the original comics. She doesn't have to start the film knowing it was Striker, but could learn it was him during the third act. Still not exactly her character arc from the comics, but much, much closer.

I remember making a thread about the show Riverdale reacting to how the material was being presented, they commented, deleted their own comment, and recharged it by calling me out based on its critical support. Keep in mind my thread was made months before the show came on, but CM dug it up to "own" me or something.

You told me about it, but since I wasn't having good internet connection at the time, I wasn't able to jump in and back you up. Sorry again about that. I probably saw them a number of times on the various superhero boards talking trash at MCU fans. Dear God, it was such a mess leading up to the shutdown.

The yellow spandex line in X-Men(2000) does sound like a jab at its comic roots than a nice reference-in-passing. I mean, it is kind of awkward - why say the color yellow and not green or purple if it wasn't intended to criticize the source material? I don't see why having much more colorful costumes like in the comics would've hurt the legitimacy of the stories from the movies, even in the weaker ones. The comic books also told serious science fiction stories with costumes still intact and it didn't hurt the tone they were establishing. It's not criticizing the source material. It's making light of the fact that Wolverine in a bright yellow costume would be totally (and tonally) out of place in the type of story that that first film told. It was a more serious sci-fi take on the X-Men. Plus, if you had actually watched the video you posted, you'd have heard Bryan Singer say that they TRIED to go with the colorful costumes at first. But it just didn't look right. I agree with you that they should have eventually moved to versions of the colorful costumes (that didn't look like straight-up spandex). But the first film didn't need that. Plus, in the original X-Men comic, they all wore the same uniforms, so it's not like they're wiping their ass with the source material (like you're making it out to be). You see... This is the part that gets to me about you guys. Nobody has every said bright yellow. Only the detractors. They don't have to wear bright colors, just colors. They don't have to wear skin tight costumes like what is in the DCEU either. Or even spandex at all. They don't wear spandex in the comics (maybe only Spider-man). You know what they can wear? Regular looking fabrics. Example: Captain America. They can also mute the colors. They try to be all grounded and such but they have a Cerebro. A machine that can detect mutants and most likely detect what their power is. Apply that to a machine that can use sci-fi magic to create uniforms and boom. Hell you can even have Cyclops controlling it and make Logan's uniform yellow. Then have Logan own the color to spite him.

And anyways, Logan's most famous costume wasn't the yellow one. It was the brown and tan one.
Which could EASILY have been adapted.
